I like the look of our first 11 fully fit, but after that the quality in the back half drops off dramatically. Wenger said he was going to try and turn Wilshere into that DM, I just don't think the lad has the temperament for it.

This is why we dont do business with our rivals. United and Everton. They sell us Silvestre, then make it up to us by purchasing van Persie in his prime....and then sell us Welbeck for £16m.
Lovely.
Well you gotta laugh at Arsenal you would think. 16 million for Welbeck, what the actual ****?
United for some reason im still not overly worried about. Sure Falcao is great but they already had class players in the front third anyways. It's down back and midfield where they struggle. Rojo and Blind dont scream world class quality.
I saw some United fan suggest they will play three at the back with Rafael Rojo Shaw. Really? They have a lot of work to do. No idea how they are gonna fit Mata, RVP, Rooney, Falcao, ADM into a functioning attacking forward line.
But I guess we will see how it all goes.
Pretty happy with my clubs business. Pretty confident of top 4.
Yeah you still have plenty of work to do. Im not sure on the Falcao deal. It's just a loan and it's mega wages and the actual loan fee was quite large too. When you already have RVP and Rooney up front it seemed overkill. United already made that statement signing in ADM to sort of say... "We're United, even without CL, look what we can do" and that was great for them.Blind and Rojo both start for Netherlands and Argentina so they should be fine. However we are very much relying on Jones and Evans (Also Smalling) to improve a fair bit.
If RvP isn't fit then Rooney will play up front with Mata behind however if RvP is fit then maybe Mata is pushed out.
Really not sure what it going to happen, very attacking, weak down back. Could be disastrous, could be fantastic.
I do think in Jan we'll add a DM and a CB though.

But surely throwing money at a world class CB or CM would have been better than adding Falcao.
Really weak down back, I think you might outscore poorer teams with guys like Rooney, RVP, Mata, ADM, Falcao etc but against the better teams with better defences and far more talented attacking lineups I think you will struggle. Could see another year of finishing 5th-7th maybe.
But we all have to wait and see how LVG puts it all together. So far it hasnt been great. Obviously I hope it continues but im wary.
Falcao is 180k wages
I've read 260kI thought we went over this? Do we really need to go through it again?

Falcao is 180k wages and the loan fee was 6-8m. Not that huge for a massive talent who we now have a option to buy at the end.

After tax Mr. Anal.
How is it unbalanced? We got rid of 2 strikers and brought one in. Still lacking a bit of quality depth but the first XI is very balanced.Time will tell, I think Utd's squad is horribly unbalanced. No idea how it is gonna work.
So he took almost an 100k a week pay cut to join Man United?
From what I have read, Man United are paying all of his wages, which is about 275K a week to make him the highest paid player in the EPL ever. Plus the 6-8m loan fee; that's about 390K a week for this season.

Monaco are paying some of the wages, it really isnt a big deal, we got rid of Hernandez and Welbeck which gor rid of a fair bit of wages anyway. So he took almost an 100k a week pay cut to join Man United?

Edit: ^^ Beaten to it numerous times. Who uses after tax numbers when calculating the expense to the employer?? LOL
It's unbalanced because you have about 5 world class players in your team. They are all AM's or strikers. From there backwards, you have a lot of garbage. That's unbalanced. How is it unbalanced? That's insane money. So he took almost an 100k a week pay cut to join Man United?
