I was inferring that a new coach might throw JP back there and give the backline a different look which we clearly need. Better not say anything about Jaensch then, I might get crucified in here!!

And what different look would it give? Brown is clearly a vastly superior defender to Petrenko, and has all the tools to add a rebounding element to his game as well. Maybe you should give reasons as to why you're coming up with these opinions instead of just complaining about people disagreeing with them?

If we win the flag next year with Clarko at the helm, everyone will be striping !!

Not me. My hand isn't steady enough.

They are comparable in that NO ONE would want either of them associated with our club.

You say except for the "drugs saga" Hird is a good coach. I say that because of the "drugs saga" Hird is a terrible coach and the fact that he is still involved with the Essendon football club and the AFL competition is deplorable.

What are you coming out with next? That we shouldn't have delisted Angus Graham?

Hird was found guilty of playing a role in the supplements saga. Charges of his direct involvement and knowledge were dropped by the AFL. Dropped!
I don't by any means condone what happened at Essendon in 2012.
I was merely suggesting if he leaves Essendon we should look at him. Not hire him. Look at him. There's a difference.

Hird is a twat.

Sorry... when did I complain about people disagreeing with my opinion?
So there's never been an AFL player who's moved from forward to defence and made a difference has there?
Petrenko has pace, can break lines, is a great tackler and can get a hardball. Brown can move to the wing. We miss Stiffy back there. JP could be the answer.

This is a time you stand clear by a good 100ft pole.

His name will be severely tarnished and even the Media won't touch him for a good 5 years.

Now that the court has found the investigation was above board Hird will probably have more than just the AFL to deal with, yes he could be a good coach but he isn't worth it. It would bring too much baggage and hate from the rest of the community, including the AFL who has had to deal with the Essendon incompetence and from what it appears, fairly fed up with him and his entourage.

Still waiting for the exciting announcement that will propel us to top 4 with a bullet

I'm sure both Dew and Bolton will come highly recommended by their respective clubs but i fear we will squander the great drafting and trading that got us a great 10 players in our squad.

The major blame falls to Trigg, Roo and Fagan will try to save us but I fear we will fall short this generation.

Given that's the case, the best Roo and Fagan can do for us now is set up the culture for the future.

  1. hmm funny so ppl know 100% that they dont have anyone lined up i suggest the media have no idea and are guessing like everyone else, ill ask this do you think they would talk to rok without a coaches say so ?
