Bone says Bassett will be interviewed by the club this week..
However he's not sure the club will quite pick him, not enough time in the AFL system..
If he's no chance, don't both interviewing him.

I still want Bassett as the Top Dog.

I believe his ability is more important than his years as an assistant coach.

Hird: Do not want at all, ever, in any role! Would be the worst possible move by the club.
Petrenko: He was tried in defence, go watch the end of 2012 and especially the prelim from memory, absolutely towled up. He is no good in defence. I love his attack on the ball, and I think he has some natural talent, but is lacking in a lot of other areas.

One thing we don't really know, except for perhaps Bassett is what footy philosophy/gameplan do the prospective coaches stand for?

Does anyone out there know much about Dew and Bolton in this respect? Or will they simply bring a Sydney or Hawthorn copy which may not adapt?

He shouldn't of played in the prelim of 2012. Shoulder was gone. Huge mistake from Sando.

A nation wide search where the best candidates don't want to come here!!
Again, what alternative do you propose. You have three options.

We've decided that Sanderson will not win a premiership... we need a new coach.
1) Try going behind his back and looking for a new coach. When you've found one sack him and announce the new one at the same time. Risk leaks that you're looking while he's still a contracted coach and an absolute shit storm if it gets out.
2) Sack him and start your search.
3) Keep him. We know he's shit, but whatever, that's how we roll.

Can't work this one out. Everything the Crows have officially said points to Sando needing to leave asap.

If we get a brand new coaching box, and all signs have pointed to that, won't that automatically be a step in the right direction? With all this speculation it's time to accept some or most of us are going to be disappointed. But to suggest that the Crows blundered by sacking Sando and not immediately having a replacement ready to sign is baffling.

They wanted to wait until after the grand final. Seems like a good enough reason to me. Now we wait because that time has come.

Sexual objectification in any form, is a form of sexism. It is demeaning to women (in this case), as a whole.

It's really not

You could argue that unwanted or non-consented sexual attention or objectification is sexist, but even then it's a stretch..

You have every right to have your opinion about whether to strip at the MCG was appropriate or not, but the woman, from what I can tell, had 100% agency in her decision

Another reason we are all here on this forum trying to have a clue

Yep, to me it just seems like people wanting someone to complain about.

Sorry... when did I complain about people disagreeing with my opinion?
So there's never been an AFL player who's moved from forward to defence and made a difference has there?
Petrenko has pace, can break lines, is a great tackler and can get a hardball. Brown can move to the wing. We miss Stiffy back there. JP could be the answer.

That wasn't you complaining about people calling you a troll?

There you go, some reasoning! Personally, I disagree, he has decent burst pace, and yes, he's a good tackler, but he also has terrible endurance, shits himself under pressure, and has poor disposal. We certainly miss Johncock, but Brown is far more likely to be the answer to that problem than Petrenko is IMO.

Forget whether he had an injured shoulder, he shouldn't have played full stop. Was awful for the second half of the season. Ditto Callinan.

They were the only 2 small forwards we had. Considering they were part of a forward line that got us to a Prelim they couldn't have been that horrible.
What does it say about half the team this year then?

Hird was found guilty of playing a role in the supplements saga. Charges of his direct involvement and knowledge were dropped by the AFL. Dropped!
I don't by any means condone what happened at Essendon in 2012.
I was merely suggesting if he leaves Essendon we should look at him. Not hire him. Look at him. There's a difference.

Where is the information about those charges? As far as I am aware he and Essendon were charged with this only

"Contrary to Rule 1.6 of the Rules, in the period from about August 2011 to about July 2012, you engaged in conduct unbecoming or likely to prejudice the interests or reputation of the Australian Football League or to bring the game of football into disrepute."

That was the only charge - about bringing the game into disrepute in respect to governance at the club during that period. There are still other possible pending charges as part of the ASADA investigation. There are team penalties that may come into effect if more that two players are found guilty of doping violations. As part of these team penalties there are also possible infraction notices that can now be granted to officials as well.

Graham Johncock was the only one that deserved to be there.

Other small forwards could've been rotating mids.
