If we told him weren't not interested.. we're idiots. Clearly need developing rucks.
(and don't make the mistake of saying a few people said something means we all think the same thing.)

Needing developing rucks =/= needing to take any developing rucks.

We decided that our coach was not premiership material and he was sacked. Sure, opinions will differ on Gorringe, but if the club doesn't rate him then why waste time on him?

We have no idea what is going on behind the scenes at the new air-tight AFC.

not knocking the decision and I agree that it showed some balls and needed to happen. I am simply saying that if we don't announce the coach before trade week it will be incredibly stupid timing. I can't understand how you could argue otherwise.
If we don't, while not ideal, would you argue we should have just kept Sando another year because it meant we had a coach at trade time, or we should have rushed the appointment and hoped we got the best guy rather than giving ourselves the best chance to get it right?

It may not be ideal but can't always be.

Im sure Geelong and St Kilda don't regret too much having done it themselves recently (Saints obviously a terrible year but they still made moves they wanted to)

and everyone is going ******* Lindy.

We've started to climb out of the huge hole we dug ourselves into, jump on and enjoy the ride.

This is the most fun I've had all year. Thoroughly enjoying the ride, posting cryptic imgs, surprise gifs. Rucci is about to be out-scooped again. And when the new coach is announced...

I think all this drama queen overreaction and hyperbole is the exact reason that our club has always chosen the safe option and has been reluctant to make bold calls and take risks.

FFS, halfway through this year we had a dead-end CEO and a coach going nowhere and FINALLY we've shown some balls and taken the first steps to right the ship and everyone is going ******* Lindy.

Serious question. How do you expect me to bitch and moan about every little thing if I'm too busy "enjoying the ride"? I mean, come on.

Was it dumb when Geelong did it in 2010?

I'd rather the process of appointing a coach be designed to deliver the best result, rather than the fastest.

Easy pot shot to take - but hey if the state of play between the two clubs dosent bother you - then yeah, enjoy the serenity.

And yet if you waited there was all of a sudden the news that even though he had 'apparently' chosen one club we were still heavily involved. And all this after it was said that neither of our clubs were interested. No one knows what is going on, especially at our club.

I know patience isn't many peoples strong points, but the fact that no one knew about Fagen or about Sando being sacked, which appear to me to be two very good decisions, I'm happy to wait and see how the cards fall.

If others want to go jumping at the first bit of news that is then contradicted a minute or so later, they can do that. I can also amuse myself, and hopefully others, by posting funny gifs. Sometimes it doesn't hurt to laugh at ourselves.

YES!
SO MUCH FARKN THIS!

ITS GORRINGE! He's a spud. He had literally the easiest path in the league to a ruck spot at AFL level, and never even got close.
And now you're worried that we cant top up our SANFL team with him because he's going to play reserves at Port Magpies?

Get a farkn grip folks. Next we'll be having a sad that we missed out on Sam Blease, Liam Jones and Tom Logan. Sheesh

Its coming thursday. God do none of you keep up.
Smart has said it catagorically...

I know that's been said, but where did Smart say it? I haven't seen categorical proof.
I can give you proof that someone said that Smart said it

Agree we're all guessing - no issue there.
Some strong opinions being formed of others opinions though. When as you say - we're air tight atm.
