I am starting to think Hawks need to have a review done, Every one jumps on the swans about there "extra" cap space,

But Hawks manage to have Lake, Gibson, Hill, Hodge, Mitchell, Lewis, Gunstan, Roughhead, Rioli, Mcevoy, Burgoyne, Birchall, Hale, Bruest plus a bunch of good role players under the cap? Either something under the table is happening OR they must be the luckiest club ever to have those players take HUGE pay cuts prepared to what they could of got?

PLUS after winning a premiership bring in James Frawley + Maybe a previous number 2 pick

Could go on but starting to sound like Big Mart.

Hopefully things are starting to around with Finnis, not sold on Summers yet.
I love my Saints as much as anyone on here but to think we are out of the woods is just not true

Mate, a few years ago Hawthorn was ready to merge over a basket case, but through great management they are where they are now because of that. When we had our successful years just missing out on a couple of Grand Finals and playing finals for many years. We were so badly managed it nearly criminal. And that is the reason we are a basket case now.

The Hawks are one of the best and one of the worse clubs.
From 83-89 they made an amazing 7 grand finals in a row ( and won most of em ).
Then after just a few bad seasons they nearly merged with the Dees. Sorry Hawks but you dont even know what pain is.
The so called 'Family Club' had a family that was as fair weather as you could find back then. When the going got tuff for 5 min they went to water.
It is a credit to them how they finally got their act together and became a powerhouse.
The so called 'Big 4' in Melb used to be Coll, Ess, Carl,Rich.
Hawks deserve to be in the Big 4 more than any of those teams nowdays.

Agree , we have only had two really crap seasons. If we are still bottom and bleeding money in 2 more yrs i'll start to think about it.
As of yet we havnt sunk into a long bottoming out like the Dees did.

Yeah members are low- always are when bottom of the ladder.
highly doubt we will be there 3 years in a row- 100-1 odds
Whats wrong with selling games to NZ? Thats a great thing, get more money and more members!

Only problems I see is our debt and seaford, which the club is fixing up!.

Supposing a complex 3 way trade goes through between LoLingwood, Lions and GWS involving Beams, Pick 5, Patfull,Merret and Treloar.
Pies get Treloar and Merrett, Brisbane get Beams. GWS get Pick 5 & Patfull. GWS then offer us picks 4 & 5 plus Jaksch
for pick 1. Would we do this ?
