You still want to make what you are writing easy to read.

Where are you hearing he will stay?
Second thoughts I really don't know what to believe anymore. I do know that although downie might be alright I still would prefer lowden as he does look to have a lot of potential.

See what happens hopefully something today but that's what I have been saying continuously and it better not be as dissapointng as when we got Angus Graham.

Been hearing about it being unlikely that lowden will leave hawthorn and that the crows are now looking at gws rookie tom downie I don't know much about him but it's sometimes these unknowns that prove to be good I don't think you necessarily need a big name to be successful downie might be alright we don't know until we see him play then he can be judged

I've heard the Crows are into two rucks. One as a back up and the other for development. Originally we were looking to the draft to bring in a developing ruck but apparently this Downie lad has really caught our eye. I think he would be the development option with a Lowden type as the back up.

But what was bad about Angus Graham as backup? He was essential for the club to have in their pocket, and was never used.

We should just draft back Smack and Graham then. They have both shown more than Downie ever has.

after all then JC,Davis and Aish hype it looks like the best we can do now is get 2 Hawthorn 2nds players

We didn't have any chance getting Davis and Aish while they are contracted. Next year though we should have a real dip.

in fact the best trades are those that you pay little for and manage to make a player out of them.

At the start of the season the free agent list was impressive but as the year went they signed on. You shouldn't look at the end list, you should look at the starting list and we should have been able to buy one of these players.
The list as at March, compiled by Jon Ralph

Gibbs would have been handy, but not for the money. Same as Frawley.

Goldsack, by some accounts is one that slipped away. He is probably the one on that list that I feel suits our needs and is viable in terms of salary.

The Free Agency list at the start of the year was a bit "meh" this year. Particularly after getting Betts last year, who kicked 50+ goals made the AA squad and salary is under $500k a year.

Oh FFS, he said we were talking to a player, he never said we 100% had the player

He said we were talking to cameron and gws, and gws denied on Twitter they were even considering trading him.

He also said we were going to get ben kennedy a ew days later he resigned

He also said we were into Shoenmakers and his comments were just a diversion of some sort

Lowden and Downie wouldn't be a bad result for our ruck department.
Kieren Harper should be a target for outside speed and I fill that Kory Beard could be a serviceable player for us. However still leaves our defense thin.

You need two 1st round draft picks next year to get those players. A top 10 to get Aish and not much different for Davis. No way Brisbane let their best young mid go for nothing, and Giants let their captain and golden boy go cheaply as well.

We'll talk about them 'coming home' like we did with Gibbs and Pav and others before them....but the same old story will happen.
In this order:

1) They'll sign on mid-year, say they're 'very settled and happy where they are...love the club...blah, blah, blah'
2) We'll then turn our attention to the next expat SA kid. Scharenberg, Day, Dunstan, Broomhead et.al.
3) Speculation will increase over the months leading into the end of the season and trade period.
4) There'll be sightings of them playing putt-putt at West Beach, and croquet in the parklands.
5) redhorse will get us all in a frenzy as he'll say something like, "it's looking good...and I've been told he's just getting a few minor things settled".
6) We'll hear nothing from the player, clubs or managers about potential moves.
7) redhorse will say, "I'm not getting much information at this stage".
8) The natives will get restless, curse redhorse and speculate whether or not he's a troll.
9) The trade period will end with no big fish, and a signing nobody's heard of from Port Melbourne.
10 We'll look forward to trade period 2016 when we know for sure that they'll come.
11) Go back to step 1.

Why u lie to us?

We trusted you, we had faith

never lied mate. Always stated I was passing on information.

Still two days to go and finally got a message back this morning about JC. The Crows were reliant on moving up the draft order with trades to make it happen and satisfy GWS (Can't confirm if it was a Danger trade). The Boyd and Griffen situation has changed things alot and seems times beating all parties. If it doesnt happen this year my mate says almost definatly it will next.

Still can't get any info on Cheney but we are still in hunt for Schoenmakers.

I stand by my mates info, I said hawks would try and trade schoey and this is correct.

happy last trade days! Im off to Anglesea via tullamarine tonight. Have to keep my eyes peeled.

GWS said that Cameron was training and posted up a two day old photo as proof! Redhorse didn't lie in that respect at all.

How do you know the Schoenmakers talk is a diversion? Trade period isn't over yet.

Don't know about the Ben Kennedy stuff, but what I have read from redhorse this trade period is not a period that we are getting somebody, is that we are talking to people. That's more information we get from anywhere in the media atm! Bit harsh to say he lied. There isn't any proof I can see that he has.

It's fair to say, that at this stage, we really need 2 of L.Thompson, Siggins, Hartigan or Shaw to step up and become good AFL defenders next year.

I'm not feeling overly confident at this prospect.

Cheney is comparable to Tom Jonas in body size, so he may be able to help out.

Could we swing Lynch back there, can Ellis-Yolmen (189/94) be a 3rd tall defender? Dunno?
I'm confident Hartigan will work out fine. He is definitely worth developing.

Don't include Pav in that list, because we had Pav. He was coming back and had agreed to terms. Ayres was the shit who kibooshed that with his OMG THE KING idiocy.

I'm hoping we don't get sucked in to trading into a ruckman if it costs either of our first two selections. I'm sure the Club doesnt share the same hysteria as some do here about the need for a costly ruck trade. Yes we need back up in the ruck, but if everything is going according to plan, Sauce and JJ play every game, and the backup doesn't play a game. No point in trading for a player that is not part of our First 22 plans. If we jag a delisting or can swap a low pick or something - then fair enough. But Sauce and JJ would always play ahead of Giles if you really think about our forward line set up. Why would Giles want to continue his career in the SANFL ?
