Being involved in the harness game years ago, it does not surprise me that this occurs, it is very rare for people to get caught though however.

Spotlight has been on these guys for a long while now.

I watched a couple of their races from last June and July. Fair to say they wont be in the game for a while, a forever.

Absolutely. There are few other tracks where people have also shown concern, namely one near the blue mountains. Hell, even in Brisbane there is one trainer in particular who seems to be dominating a little too much.

Anyone interested might want to watch the replay of Penrith Harness R8 last night. A couple of things worth noting in what was essentially a 2 horse race

- Betfair flucs on race
- Watch the way the 1 leads easily, sees the 10 coming with plenty of time to hunt up and protect the lead but instead takes hold and lets him slide by
- Speed of the next 2 quarters
- Lack of pressure applied to leader in 33 quarters
- What the 1 does when he sees daylight with 400m to go

Can't really see why there is any issue in this race. It was for 2yo's and it is not uncommon for the second favourite to hand up to the favourite (odds were around 2.1 v 4.0 or so). Driver of the 10 slowed them up for the next two quarters and sprinted the last. If you watch the race again Hewitt's horse was under pressure when it got out, sprinted for about 100m to get right on the back of the favourite but was then beaten on straightening. The margin was pretty big in the end and did not look dodgy at all, you would see a lot worse than that on a daily basis.
