That rumour has done the rounds every yeaar for about the last 5 years, the only time he came close to leaving was to Collingwood in 2000, which Westy admitted himself.

West should have been insulted by that proposal, I don't have any problems with Essendon but that offer shows no respect from anyone at Windy Hill.

A joke of a offer yes. But Westy was never leaving unless there was some serious offer on the table a champ for a champ only. In the end all deals were overlooked.
