Can someone give me some ideas on how to get 18 players playing for round 12?

I'm ok for round 11 and 13 but look stuffed for round 12.

You're in for a tough round bud. Lucky to have 15 starters with hardly any trade out options (Mckenzie Lonie only options) Mclark another if he's not back by then.

Yeah I have no idea what to do come round 12.

Maybe just try and get 3 rookies in during round 12 for McKenzie, Lonie and Clark so I can make up numbers and gain cash.

Last year I spent hours during pre season building a team to get through byes, in the weeks leading up I kept getting injuries to cows I planned to upgrade to keep a full team throughout and completely stuffed the whole thing, blew 9 trades and scored stuff all. Its easier this year having the top 18 scores but when weeks like this week happen it makes all plans a complete waste of time. Have now fully adpoted the 'just ride it out' approach.

Last year I wasted 9 trades trying to have 20-21 players available for each bye round, this year I'll only use 3-4 trades during the byes to have just 18 starters for each bye round. Having a few extra players would be great to cover for spud scores, but at the end of the day it might only end up costing me 200 points or less over 3 rounds, but I will have 5-6 extra trades in Rd14.

At the moment my byes look like this:

11- 21 (Realistically 18)
12-19 (Realistically 17)
13- 21 (Realistically 19)

Should be ok if those I expect to play do in fact play. Will trade in a couple R11 players B4 R12 to boost that week (Thinking Sloane, Smith, Simpson) Same after R12 if necessary.

Clark and Bonti should be back and krakouer can be upgraded again as every club can upgrade one rookie after round 11, might not get picked still though as his form wasn't the best. That's 16 then use two trades on players who played in round 11. Assuming you want to keep them or their rookies.

thanks, rest of the byes should be ok, unless rookies get dropped and/or I get a few injuries

difficult to answer, I honestly can't remember how the scores have been the last couple of years, over 2000 would be a great score


good thing is you can loophole easily over the byes if you have an extra player playing on a particular line, as the players who have a bye don't get locked out until the end of the round

I didn't know that rule,

Potentially you could pick up about 300 points over the 3 rounds hey?

yep, byes will see people take huge jumps up the rankings.. and I'm hoping to be one of them!

You don't need to loophole as they take the best 18 scores regardless?

As I understand it:

Only the best 18 on the field can count towards your score.

The bye players don't "play" until the final game so can be used for loophole purposes.
