Few conflicting stories coming out of Freo. I read on their board that all of Fyfe, Mundy & Johnson trained really well. Then I read in the same thread, that Lauchie Read said it was a closed session, and that A freo Player told him Mundy was in the gym. Then read a story on the West website, that Mundy, Pav & McPharlin didn't train??

Also hearing that Pav has an achilles problem, then others saying it's a hip and a calf

So someones playing silly buggers down at Freo oval!!

Ross has just advised that Sandi was decapitated in a freak lawn bowling accident. Ross said the injury is "significant" and he will see how he trains on Friday before deciding whether he'll play or not.

Gold Coast without a midfield wasn't meant to be a danger game either...

Too right but they're only human and had to have a bad game sometime.
Longest roadtrip, 6 day break, Gold Coast took it too us and we were not at our best.

Hawthorn smash Freo and Sydney then lose to Richmond.
Richmond beat Hawthorn convincingly then lose to Adelaide.
Everyone has a bad game here and there.

To draw that game after the way we played is a win IMO.
We corrected our poor performance the following week but didn't get the win.
Sunday is our chance to vindicate the Gold Coast game and narrow loss the the Hawks.

Also a few sore boys in D Pearce, Mayne and Spurr. Personally i think Pav and Mcpharlin will be the 2 that miss.

All regular players this time of the year have niggles and soreness. There wouldn't be one player in your best 22 without some form of physical ailment.

Mundy trained fully yesterday so it would seem unlikely that he will miss. Word is that McPharlin is fine but they may still rest him for this game (as was the intent prior to Dawson going out of the side) given that Johnson is back in. Pav may also get a rest and if so, Taberner would logically come in for him.

Wouldn't mind those changes even if Newman has not set the world on fire i think if given a chance on the big stage he might surprise a few people with being given a second chance.

I do not like having Mcginnity, Hutchings & Scooter all in the same team and i were to choose two it would have to be Hutchings & scooter. Scooter to tag Hill and Hutchings on Neale.

More like the Match Committee will call for him to be dropped the following week.

Most people on here are surprised when he gets dropped - certainly seems to have a shorter tether than most of the team when it comes to selection.
