That and this one:It boggles the mind that some people don't see the clash. It was the worst clash I've ever seen at a game that I've attended.
The 2% less gold will be all the difference. Especially given there's MORE gold on the Hawthorn now that they don't have the white number-box.Try putting them in this years guernseys and see if it makes a difference.

- both guernseys have changed since then.It boggles the mind that some people don't see the clash. It was the worst clash I've ever seen at a game that I've attended.
Which is why tri-panel is such a poorly designed jumper. Clashes with Navy/ Black teams on one side, yellow teams on the other. Plus the addition of white just messes things up more. This is pretty much what the WCE TP still looks like, with thin side-panels and a slightly thinner white stripe. It remains that there's a whole third of the front, and quarter of the back, that is gold. Thinner centre white stripe actually means more gold on the front, even if there is a little less on the side due to sidepanels. So the below picture would still be an accurate representation of what it would look like for both teams to have their main jumpers. Richmond's clash jumper also would not work against WCE TP, again due to both teams having very dominant gold in the jumpers.
Agree the TP isn't a great-looking guernsey. White jumpers against it are fine though, and Hawthorn have one of those - it's butt-ugly but it's effective.Which is why tri-panel is such a poorly designed jumper. A royal wings or navy wings jumper just makes so much sense - not only does it reduce clashes, it looks so much better!
Add in the yellow peril clash, you've got one of the best jumper sets in the league.
2015 tri panel, with navy shorts, and hawks in white shorts would be fine IMO.
You obviously still can't read.

To make even more of the mutual colour? That is enough of a contrast for mine, no clash there, throw in white shorts and all good. Hawks could even wear their all yellow socks they wore for the back to back game to help it even more.
No clash. You obviously still can't read.

Yes it's a disgrace that the home team gets to wear their home jumper and the away team designed a butt-ugly clash jumper that nobody likesThe AFL already did West Coast a favour by giving them the easiest of draws. Now this? What a disgrace. /s
I asked my Dad (A Hawthorn member for 48 years) what he thinks of it. "I actually don't mind it", he responded.Yes it's a disgrace that the home team gets to wear their home jumper and the away team designed a butt-ugly clash jumper that nobody likes![]()
