Respectfully, I doubt it.

Well it was one of those Herald-Sun Trade HQ daily wrap ups, but the harsh reality is
that we aren't going to get a star with Geelong's second rounder. The only scenario that improves our chances of getting a better deal is if Mummy's Boy is open minded to go to a club that isn't Geelong (highly doubtful)

Spot on.

We have 3 highly marketable commodities.

1. a 25 yr old KPP entering his prime who many clubs, (those that fancy they are contending), would have been identified as a good option for CHB for the next 3-4 years.

Possible market: Hawks, (Lake replacement), Geelong, (Lonegan replacement), Bulldogs, Freo, GWS (mature KPD), Norf.

2. 25 year old exciting finisher would could play either end. Offers good decision making at elite speed. Clubs in the window would consider him the cream that wins flags.

Possible market: Hawks, (Burgoyne replacement), Geelong, (Motlop type role), Bulldogs, (would seriously compliment their developing forward line) Freo, WCE (how good would he be at Subiaco every other week), Richmond.

3. 20 year old HFF who plays tall with x-factor. Looks worth a 2nd rounder to me at present but I continually hear how much other clubs' posters rate him.

I wonder where the Hun gets its trade suggestions?

I haven't seen these media reports, just forum suggestions.

In terms of Henderson, what influence does Carlton have over this process? he is out of contract and not covered by Free Agency, isn't he?

Really DVB!

Correct. We either trade him, he (and the club) changes his mind and stays or he walks into the PSD.

Would depend on Kreuzer going or not, I really haven't seen much of him myself.
Very highly rated athletic KPF. Taken a while to develop but is too good for VFL now and he will be best 22 in the next year or 2. Richmond have put a heap of work into him which is why I think they'd be reluctant to let him go.

I'd be disappointed if we weren't enquiring though.

There was no way Geelong were ever going to hand over their first rounder, nor should they. He's not worth it....Also, I don't see how Walker makes sense if we are taking Weitering/Schache and possibly Carlisle.

Richmond however, we shouldn't accept anything other than their first rounder.

Yeah I have heard Tigers mates talk him up a bit, would make sense if we deem that adequate for Yarran and Kreuzer does leave.

I think our preference is to obtain their pick and try to get a developing ruck from GWS or somewhere else.

so at the end of the day, unless we come to an amicable deal with Geelong - and hope they don't bend us over just because they can - we get nothing for him. Thankfully Geelong is usually reasonable to deal with, I know this from BigFooty.
