Frawley out for Spang next week, hopefully Gunston not too bad, thing is we get a crack next week at the winner of Dogs and Crows then off to Perth again assuming the Dockers win tomorrow, honestly feel we can beat them, if we get the chance, and playing west coast on the G I give us a chance

I am surprisingly upbeat after that result. West Coast played a great game plan and outplayed us for 2.5qtrs us but we still have a decent route through to the GF (especially if Sydney wins). This season is not over. The equation is the same as it was before the game. Win 3 games and we are premiers. If you had offered me the Bulldogs at the G Freo in Perth and West Coast at G to win the flag at the start of the season I would have taken your hand off. Lets regroup and move on quickly.
what planet are you on?

Well that's out first real hitout since Port dismantled us. We were bound to be poor, and it showed.

Now we've gotten that contest out of the way, it's imperative we regroup and really put a 4 quarter performance in next week.

Once you're in a Prelim...well you never know! We should have lost the last 3!

F.uck you all, shit supporters.Hawks were terrible but i will came back to thisand remind you all of it when we win the flag.

Breust needs to find a very big mirror and have a hard look.

Well done to West Coast. They picked the Hardwick-engineered game plan and played it to perfection.

Mediocre across the ground, we were. Not clean in disposal, iffy in front of goal and panicked under pressure. Am I concerned, though? No. We'll be back at the MCG next week in front of our fans, and if we win we'll head back to Perth with a lesson learned.

The AFL world may be frothing over the two WA teams, but the Premiership isn't won at Subiaco.

The 'Clarko's Favourites' selection policy came back to bite tonight.
A lack of hunger from so many players, until the hole was too deep.

This is spot on.. The "depth" has been toiling away at Box Hill while we had no real pressure for places in the senior team. we have started to develop a culture of accepting players putting in half efforts and letting others bob up to pull us over the line in games. "Go when it's your turn" is dead... It's too late to take a broom at the selection table, they need to find hunger somewhere.

Okay, I want to preface my post by saying that the umpiring did not cost us the game in any way. West Coast were far too good for us. However some of those decisions and non-decision were absolutely awful. Something really does have to be done because the away team is more often than not literally playing against 25 or 26 men or whatever.

As far the game, we were simply not good enough. We were exposed horribly by a cleaner, harder, better side. They looked like the experience side and we looked like rookies. In reality it isn't a surprise considering how poor we have been all year. Aside from the two or three week block we have been sub-par all season. Clarkson has made a few mistakes tonight and this year.

1. He didn't reward Box Hill form. Suckling, Duryea, Langford, Stratton, Breust, Roughead, and others all had patches this year where they were not good. They got picked on name/history when they should have been dropped (maybe not Roughead and Breust because they have more credits in the bank).

2. Frawley is not a forward. Schoenmakers was doing a solid job in that role and was dropped for no reason. Frawley looked decent up there against terrible opposition. He should not have played his first final in a non-familiar role against a good team. Lake and Gibson are not good match-ups for Kennedy, it should have been Frawley. That one is on Clarko.

3. Smith was clearly not fit and should not have played.

This will be a big off-season for our group. Some might shoot me down but I don't think we can win it now. It is too tough to play 4 finals in a row. I really hope Gunston hasn't done his ACL too. It looked awful. Please be OK Gunner!
