Would much prefer Kreuzer in Navy Blue. We all know what he can do when fit.
What the **** is with your avatar? It looks like Vladimir Putin riding a giant echidna.

Good grief what year are we in and who is our current ruckman? I feel like when I come on to this board I have stepped back two to three years with all the talk about past players.

So is Kreuzer staying or going? Going by the papers today Collingwood have pulled out of the race is this still relevant?

Well it looks as though Kreuzer will be forced to stay at Carlton as other clubs are baulking at him allegedly because of the outcome of medical examinations. I think the lad has learnt a valuable lesson about the brutality of the football world. I hope it has filled his stomach with a resolve to stick it up the clubs that have turned their backs on him. I really hope so.

History and nostalgia will develop from anywhere. It's part of the charm of talking with fellow football supporters.

Kreuzer unlikely to go. If he does we will not get tier 1 compo for him.

He has the resolve. He only knows one way. He will go hard every moment he plays or die trying.

I would love Kreuzer to stay and have a huge pre-season and in 2016 become the premium ruckman. I think he can be better than NicNat. NN this year especially the second half of the season has been so valuable to WCE even through his personal tragedy. Last weekend was proof of that.

Positives
Warnock showed a lot in the ruck.
Grigg had another solid game.

When did we get rid of Grigg? End of 2010 season and we traded a 22 y.o with 43 games experience for a dud who was delisted in 2012 and then taken as a rookie and then delisted again. Our club seems to be infatuated with investing time on players who will not make it. Warnock is a case in point.
Short memory, we didn't "get rid of" Grigg, he requested a trade when his contract ran out.

And good news about Kreuzer. I can't wait to see him next year. I'd rather have a big bloke that is all heart and soul on the field instead of taking a punt on a big forward that has only destroyed skinny little kids.

missing the point though. Kruezer dominating the ruck while we are getting beat by 10-15 goals aint really going to warm my heart. Much rather see an 18 year old kid develop during these inevitable thumpings over the next 2-3 years.

Unless we consider Kruezer will be up and flying in 4 years time when we will be relevant again (no chance)

I'd be content with a 2nd rounder pick 20 for kruezer to be honest

There's plenty of chance he'll still be good. Rucks generally play well into their 30's. And a player like Kreuzer will only show the way for young players to come through. We're a 5 goal better team with him playing an average quality game. A team devoid of leadership should not even consider allowing the best 'leader by example' we have on the list to leave.

Don't underestimate how much Kreuzer helped Cripps in the second half of the year. No Judd, no Gibbs, Murph missed games, Carrazzo missed games. Cripps got more attention. They had a great combination going.

Looks like this will turn out nicely for the AFL / Brisbane
- Kreuzer probably stays a blue so the AFL don't have to come up with a story about how Kreuzer is not worth pick 2 compensation to allow Schache to get to Bris
- Priority picks (PP) will now be denied to both Bris and Carlton (AFL looks like they are playing fair considering Melb were not afforded a PP and they will not have to come up with a story about how Brisbane deserve a PP because of the exodus of players (handing them Schache) and how Carlton did not deserve one even though we finished below Brisbane this season and have received 4 spoons in the last 10 or so seasons)
- AFL deems compensation for Leuenberger to be band 1 handing Brisbane Schache and Francis (in essence a PP similar to Melb)

Kreuzer allegedly has failed Medicare at two other clubs... And so we're happy to pay a lot of money over the next few years for a player with such high risk physically.... Right now my offer to Kreuzer would be 1 year 400k with a 2 year extension trigger then with more $ depending on how his body holds up next season.
The Age suggested he was offered a 3 year contract(originally 2 years) of about $1 million in total. So that would be around $330,000 per year but will increase the more games he plays, so around the $525,000 per year. That is good for both Matty and the club. He would be on the veterans list for the 3rd year so not all of it would be in the salary cap.
I hope he stays.

You have to be over 30 and 10+ years at 1 club for veterans list.
