Was thinking the same thing watching his presser. He got a bit animated in the box at bad umpiring and he had every right to get fired up I reckon

As much as I hate to say this, it seems Brad has finally grown up. His conduct immediately after the game and in his post-match press conference was exemplary and for us to ignore that makes us look like a bunch of campaigners.
Hear hear, he deserves plenty of accolades and plaudits for his behaviour immediately after the game :thumbsu::thumbsu:

They showed him a few times on the big screen at the game in full Brad Scott mode in the coach's box haha but his press conference after the game was all class:

"You play an interstate preliminary final. The crowd was fantastic tonight, they generated a superb atmosphere and it makes it really tough for the people that are charged with adjudicating the game.

"I understand the frustration of supporters and particularly our supporters, and West Coast supporters when it didn't go their way.

"Our game is the hardest game in the world to umpire, sometimes they go your way, sometimes they don't.

"It's frustrating but we never sit back and say, ‘Umpires cost us the game’, because that would be unfair on them and unfair on West Coast and it wouldn't be true."

This is all true. However behind all those words he is thinking the complete opposite.

That's what gracious in defeat is all about. Nobody likes losing, but putting aside feelings of anger and disappointment to pay respect to the victor is true sportsmanship.

Have we all just missed the mighty dig in his presser?

"You play an interstate preliminary final. The crowd was fantastic tonight, they generated a superb atmosphere and it makes it really tough for the people that are charged with adjudicating the game."

It's thinly veiled but a clear whinge at the umpires.

Agree with this, the moment has passed and I think it brings nothing but bad juju now!!!

A few exasperated looks from Scott in the box last night, but handled himself well in the presser.

Who's going to argue with that? In the context of what else he said, I think that's fine.
