Maybe they should have thought about that before they went after Dangerfield, Henderson, Selwood, Z.Smith and co.Geelong cannot afford to draft away their first two picks for the next two years given they have an aging team.

Maybe. From our position I think we have to be doing all the cupping.Geelong using pick 9 for Henderson is no threat to the AFC. Once they use pick 9 that sort of eliminates Geelong from getting Danger in the National Dreaft. He would be forced into the PSD and neither Geelong or Danger want that
#GeelogicMaybe we should threaten to use pick 13 on Hampton so we can Aish for unders.
Dangerfield himself brought Mardi into it by saying he's leaving for "family reasons" therefore she's fair game in my opinion.Danger will not end up at Brisbane - and marty, stop taking side-swipes at Mardi ... it adds very little..

I'm just stating what I think the tactics may be. I personally think they may threaten to use #9 on Henderson to get us to baulk. No way have he's a priority. Just a tool they can use in their heavily weighted position. If you go back to the start of the thread Geelong mod catempire stated a scenario like this.
For sure. #9 and haggling on what's on top.Fair enough.
Geelong can do all the bluffing they want but one thing that is definitive in my mind is that pick # 9 will be coming to us not Carlton.
Given the rumours are now surfacing that Geelong player/s and 2nd round picks are involved for Henderson tells me that Carlton aren't getting #9.
With regards to Geelong supporters, the post by Jarman3 above is right on the money.

did she, on social media? She acknowledged it herself claiming that Patrick threw her under a bus.
Said it at the Brownlowdid she, on social media?
Indeed. I wonder how the hell they thought it would get done?Maybe they should have thought about that before they went after Dangerfield, Henderson, Selwood, Z.Smith and co.
"Family reasons" could mean a sick or dying grandparent or parent FFS. She is NOT fair game at all.Dangerfield himself brought Mardi into it by saying he's leaving for "family reasons" therefore she's fair game in my opinion.

Whatever. Grow up. How does that mean anything to us as AFC supporters?Dangerfield himself brought Mardi into it by saying he's leaving for "family reasons" therefore she's fair game in my opinion.

If you think it makes you sound clever by referring to Mardi the whole time then I guess that's your choice.
You don't know either of them - you are reading into every word spoken through the media.
Would you be so brave and say those things to Danger and Mardi face-to-face? that is always a good way to check if what you are saying is all hot-air or not. I've got a feeling you wouldn't be quite so flippant.
I guess asking someone to show some class on an anonymous internet forum is going a bit far ... looking at your handle, it may be way too big an ask.
Wow. Thanks marty, funniest thing I have read in a while. Made my day.I would say something! But then again I like giving as much as I get whether it be an anonymous internet forum or FB. Mind you when you train 3-4 hours a day you generally dont give a toss!
Whatever. Both paddy and mardi are driving out of town with their middle finger raised to adelaide is my guess, after all the club has been through and how well he was treated. They can both GAGF.Whatever. Grow up. How does that mean anything to us as AFC supporters?

I think their grief over Phil's loss has been public and genuine enough to the point you should feel a bit embarrassed by this post to be honest.Whatever. Either they thought we'd give Danger the golden handshake and let him walk for pick #14 (and who knows if Danger or Connors told the Cats that'd be the case), or that the AFL would give us the 2 draft picks we want and we wouldn't match, or they're convinced they can get him in the draft. Can't see any scenario where they give us what we want while also being able to grab all of Henderson, Smith and S.Selwood.Indeed. I wonder how the hell they thought it would get done?
