Dangerfield himself brought Mardi into it by saying he's leaving for "family reasons" therefore she's fair game in my opinion.

Geelong can do all the bluffing they want but one thing that is definitive in my mind is that pick # 9 will be coming to us not Carlton.
Given the rumours are now surfacing that Geelong player/s and 2nd round picks are involved for Henderson tells me that Carlton aren't getting #9.
With regards to Geelong supporters, the post by Jarman3 above is right on the money.

You don't know either of them - you are reading into every word spoken through the media.
Would you be so brave and say those things to Danger and Mardi face-to-face? that is always a good way to check if what you are saying is all hot-air or not. I've got a feeling you wouldn't be quite so flippant.

It will probably get done, Look how when Voss started as coach at Brisbane bringing in all those experienced players, it didnt work out, but if Injury had gone his way it may have, he took the gamble that didnt pay off, Sydneys recruiting strategy has them paying two players over 20% of their slalary cap, is it working? Maybe they are top 4. Hawthorn have a fairly older straategy is it working? Maybe but it might be working becuase they have Hodge, Mitchell and Roughhead in the team.
Their list strategy will be one to watch if they do trade out their picks, and succeed, it may have people saying draft picks are overated, time will tell!

I would say something! But then again I like giving as much as I get whether it be an anonymous internet forum or FB. Mind you when you train 3-4 hours a day you generally dont give a toss!

I want to comment on this.
I think some discussion on Mardi is reasonable for the point you raised.
However. Mardi herself has not chosen a life in the public eye. I therefore do not consider it to be reasonable to discuss her in a similar fashion to our footy players and club staff who have chosen roles in the public eye.
"Dangerfield loves himself because he does impressions on the footy show." All good, play on.
"Mardi wears the pants and is a cow because she's making danger go back to Geelong." Not acceptable, will be moderated accordingly.
Clearly lots of grey area - so my suggestion to everyone is to play it conservatively as you're tears will simply be delicious
Agree- If they pull a stunt and send it to Carlton, they aren't serious about getting PD and that should send a message to PD as well as to any number of Melbourne metro clubs.
And that's potentially bad news because Hawthorn and Collingwood are alternative destinations he'd likely be comfortable with but they'll have nothing we want to trade for. Melbourne, St Kilda and Carlton will be able to use PSD threats to get him for nothing.
Maybe Ivan can entice him to the Tiges for two firsts and Edwards? (I can dream, can't I)
I think their grief over Phil's loss has been public and genuine enough to the point you should feel a bit embarrassed by this post to be honest.
For all we know Mardi could be quite depressed and need to be around family. Who knows - its not our right to know.
Either they thought we'd give Danger the golden handshake and let him walk for pick #14 (and who knows if Danger or Connors told the Cats that'd be the case), or that the AFL would give us the 2 draft picks we want and we wouldn't match, or they're convinced they can get him in the draft. Can't see any scenario where they give us what we want while also being able to grab all of Henderson, Smith and S.Selwood.
