Interesting that Woosha is now coach of Essendon and he was of the opinion Essendon where hard to deal with.

Maybe that will change now he is coach.

You would hope not because most clubs dont waste there time dealing with Essendon so if he wants to move forward he will need to get Dodoro to become realistic.

You think your list is up to it?

It's a loaded question of course, because lets face it, most lists won't get there - but your guys have got to be the least impressive dual prelim finalists in recent memory.
Hawks are goat - no one in the history of the game would be up to winning the last 3. I loved winning two finals this year - like I loved winning 2 last year. I watched the ess game all off season and the Tigers game is getting a great run so far. Winning finals is brilliant - especially when 1 v our biggest rival after being 33 points down and 1 in front of more than 90,000. It's not always about winning flags. Maybe your memory of how good winning finals is has faded over the last decade.

Would rather be top 4 than bottom 4. No matter how weak we are perceived to be.

Oh no doubt, would prefer it myself.

To be fair, I'd also lowball as hard as I could for as long as I could.

But yeah, I'd consider a young KPP that can play like he can to be a top 10 pick. Would give a pick up for a player like him no question. I would have given 4 for Charlie Dixon.
Forwards are always worth more then defenders, its the nature of their role of the rarity of getting key forwards, same in every sport the scorers are worth more then the dull players.

Actually, all solid points.

All I would say is that I've seen him destroy games when he wants to. He's been out of love with Essendon, not football. Whoever gets him will get a star. But true that it's not an absolute given. And true he's uncontracyed and walking.

If we could, I'd pretty much hand him over today and discuss his value end of next year. That's how confident I am.
He can and will destroy games but value goes down fast in football and indeed any sport in the world (look at harry kane in the epl one moment 40 million pound man few weeks later its now maybe a 30 million pound man) and that makes the top 5 pick too much of a price for the form he has shown in the last 2 years.

If he isn't that good, why are you going to pay him $700k?
We gotta pay 95% of the cap somehow and even with front loading all our contacts we are still short

He was head of recruiting and involved in list management
Fair judge of talent I would have thought
Granted not as good as a keyboard warrior who has an anime avator:drunk:
So bucky has experience but again he is one of the few who are saying this.

The facts i stated were from my club so not my words and the question needs to be asked was bucky looking at it from st kildas perspective or was he looking at it from an outsiders pov or indeed a hawthorn pov? (pick 5 can get us more of a need for our team atm while a key defender is 2nd on the list)

Probably as much as Leigh Matthews who said the same thing and played in the same team with Buckenara.
Matthews also said that sandi was the most overrated player in the comp, he gets things wrong, Carey said he is worth pick 5 and sated that sam mitchell would not be good in any other side.

Yet you offer him 700000 a year for 5 years:drunk::drunk::drunk::drunk:
If your points were accurate you must have the dumbest list management team in the league
I will bold this and capitalize it for you

ALL CLUBS MUST PAY 95% OF THE CAP

Also most of the issues I would say are because of you clubs practiciees in the last few years which has affected most of your team, Jobe Watson looks jaded and worn out and the fresh environment could allow jake to smile and feel good about footy.

If we don't get him we will be front loading as much as possible to get 95%

Luke Ball managed to get to Collingwood. Why wasn't he traded?
Our old recruiting manager and lyon did not accept the terms.

As a result the old manager got sacked as it was deemed a failure on his behalf.

Cooksen. That is some of the crappiest, crap that I seen on bigfooty and I am not talking about your avatar.

1/ 700k is a lot to pay someone. I am sure you are not paying Tom Hickey or Billy Longer 700k just because you need to pay 95% of your cap! It is reflective of what your club thinks the player is worth.

2/ I have heard Jon Ralph, Matthews, Bartlett, Buckenara, Mark Allen and many other so called football experts (a term I use loosely but don't extend to myself or anyone that uses bigfooty) suggest that pick 5 is a fair trade, I have heard none say that pick 24, which is what St Kilda put up along with a non-required player is a fair trade. The only reason St Kilda can do that is because Carlisle has nominated the saints. There s other interest still from Carlton and the bulldogs. You are not across the line and if your club does not get serious about a realistic and fair trade, the deal may not get done.

Cameron Mooney has 3 premierships does that mean we should listen to him?

When did flags suddenly dictate someones knowledge of list management, i must have missed that memo.

What does Buckanara know about list management? dont deflect the question answer it.
Just curious.U wont listen to a list manager of a club that went on to win 4 premierships? Who would u listen to?.Whats your listening criteria?

That wouldn't have been because maybe St Kilda were hard to deal with?

Under lyon and him, yes but lyon is stubborn and we all know that.

Since bains and trout has come in we have done a lot of trades so it has changed.
So where did Pelchen fit in with that?

Winning flags is ALL that matters.
Every year we dont is a failure, so obviously we are racking up the failures

Well there's one team being difficult at the moment and that's St Kilda.

Jake nominated them a week ago. We immediately said pick 5 is fair - which many neutrals agreed with - we'll sign off on that at 10.05am Monday.

St Kilda haven't even responded. What is their offer? Not like we've rejected anything.

If they're going to headhunt a player, maybe they should look at the Melbourne - Essendon - Melksham or Geelong - Adelaide - Dangerfield example, instead of not even having a plan to land him.

Is this thread still going?

That must mean, um, EFC supporters must still be stickin fat with Dodo against his universal rap.

Surely denying reality must be getting old?...specially when it's over something as unimportant as Dodo....the man that has delivered 0 finals wins in more than a decade.

So finishing top 4 or bottom 4 is the same for you? The pass mark for Woosha in 2016 is a flag or failure?

Winning finals is a hell of a lot of fun. You're maybe too young to remember.

We've even said we will take pick 9 if you can get it (missed that part).

Not sure if mid 40's is "too young".
Of course top 4 and bottom 4 are differant but doesnt mean id be happy with it. Im actually more unhappy when we make finals but perform poorly. At least when we have been junk like this year it doesnt get my hopes up

No prizes for 2nd mate. Just shit draft picks

On a serious note.
It depends what you go onto do with that finals experience, whether its seen as a failed period or a successful period. A successful period would be a premiership
