Barnbougle and the Pinor from the Tamar Valley are awesome. Launceston Country Club is a holeI liked Launceston but I only spent a few days looking around. The Boags Brewery tour was enjoyable. Driving along the Tamar River was spectacular. Cataract Gorge was well worth it. Cheese tastings, hot chocolates and the monkeys in the park. Maybe that's all there is but certainly a weekend down at the footy will be ok.
On a positive note, we end the season with some of the weaker teams. Be on board for our finals charge.

Yep, that's all there is
Most Boags beer is garbage but the brewery is good.

Lovely darts. Get down to Richmond, really nice little town down there. If you can come around New Years, the Taste of Tassie is excellent too.I spent a week in Hobart with the family when the kids were younger. We stayed in a unit about a drop punt from Bellerive. Loved the tour of Cascade Brewery. Bit of a theme here. Port Arthur, Mt Wellington, Wrest Point, the Skywalk, Cadburys, Salamanca Market etc. I love Tassie and will spend more time there when I get the chance.
Brilliant, numbersNever bag the Jimmy Boags................a mighty shampoo.
I've had a few. Done my arse on the punt one night, nearly didn't make my mates wedding the next day. I was MC...
Rough night there?

It's disgusting.I love Adelaide, if we had a game there I'd make the trip for sure.
I can't understand why you keep getting shafted.

Dear Quaz,
As CEO of the Carlton Football Club, I am writing to you and to all our loyal South Australian members to express how bitterly disappointed I am that we have not been scheduled to play any matches in Adelaide during the 2016 season.
Given that our South Australian supporter base is strong and extremely important to us, we are clearly frustrated for a second year in a row that we will not run out onto Adelaide Oval.
Adelaide Oval is a world-class stadium in a wonderful city. It is a place at which our boys would love to play.
That is why I wanted to assure you, as a valued and loyal member of our great club, that we intend to reward all South Australian members throughout the season.
We will endeavour to deliver you an activation in Adelaide at some point through the season, as well as formulate a member offer for when the two South Australian teams play the Blues in Melbourne in Rounds 8 and 16.
I must reiterate that this is not an ideal situation. But we need all Bluebaggers on board as we embark on the journey of returning the Blues back up the ladder.
Our team here will be in touch with you soon to detail how we can best embrace our South Australian members in the absence of a game at Adelaide oval.
Yours faithfully,

To make it worse, the last few years we've had between 15-19 games on FTA, next season we'll be down to about 7 or 8. So prepare to fork out for fox if you want to see the team with any regularity.
As for the rest of the fixture. Its got financial disaster written all over it. No home game at Richmond in round 1 - or at all - due to rotation, home game against collingwood isnt until Round 15. Essendon might draw ok in round 6 depending on how the clubs start. Four games at the MCG against interstate clubs (WCE/Adel) or low drawing Vic Clubs (Saints/Dees). Not quite how the club would have envisaged the extra MCG games going one suspects. Sydney, Port and Brisbane at Docklands isnt calculated to turn a profit of any real kind either.
Still its the fixture supporters seem to want. Welcome to minnowsville. We'll be here for a while.
It's not like we really had a choice after our Friday night performances this year, should we have lobbied the AFL to convince them we weren't really that bad? Hopefully this period will help the club to finally embrace best practice across each department and long term planning as the way to gain our next cup, rather than the short cuts of the past.
The club can lobby as much as they want but its not in our hands. We were on the nose for viewing last year and we've paid the price. Financially the next few years will be a struggle, but its one a lot of clubs go through and come out the other side. The club should be lobbying to get the best fixture it possibly can, for members and sponsors alike. Id be bitterly disappointed in the club if this is anything like it asked for. But then, you've got no chance of convincing the league that despite a bad year or two you should still get some consideration when the fixture is done. its a miracle we get the round 1 opener! Seriously Tasmania twice in a year? Surprised we dont have GWS in canberra or Melbourne in Darwin.

Have a photo from my honeymoon of the sign that says 'You are now entering St Helen's pass', except the 'p' was missing. Twenty year old me thought that was the funniest shit he had ever seen. For sure. Grew up in St Helens, the east coast is great. Hobart is pretty cool.
Absolutely astounded by these supporters who welcome obscurity and irrelevance.
