Why is averaging so low in possessions? If he's a "great mover" and a " great mark" should be averaging more than that. Plus his disposal efficiency is very poor, but I've seen nothing of him to have my own thoughts.

He plays in the vic country team that has Schache in it.

Very good looking player - underrated perhaps… that speed is very Yarran-like. Seems to have decent disposal, great side step and loves a goal from outside 50. Can read the play well and is good mark above his head. Not a bad option should Tucker/Gresham fall through.

Lot of people see Mathieson sliding and I'm not totally sure but my opinion is that the way he comes across is a bit off-putting. Not sure arrogance is the word but his character isn't well represented in the vision I've seen. Happy to be proven wrong but seems like he's a huge sledged and could be a bit of a pr**k… though no doubt whoever he ends up with will love him for those qualities - be that us or more likely St Kilda/*. Can actually see him and his mate Parish ending up at * together for some reason.

It's understood Curnow has made it clear to several non-Victorian clubs throughout the season that he would not like to move interstate.

But that is the word out of the kid's mouth versus rumour

Until proven otherwise, I'd rather take the evidence.

Burton is higher risk but surely has more upside.
