Daisy was amazing for three years and if he stayed at that level would probably be second to Pendles.

Pretty fair, and yeah it's sad for Daisy as he definitely deserves to be in that list but I guess it's hard to award it after only a few good (almost unstoppable even) years. I'd personally have Carlisle in 8, and Vince in 5 but otherwise you've nailed it IMO.

On talent alone he'd be top three from this draft - possibly even the top. And it's not as if he's an unfulfilled talent, he has played extraordinarily well at stages - so well that at the end of the 2014 season I genuinely believed he was the best all round ruck in the game when considering all he can bring to a side.

He's just so bloody inconsistent.

Will look like he will rip the game away from an opponent some weeks, and then the next look like he's a liability to the team. Between 5-10 somewhere is probably about right. Swallow is obviously a different kind of player but I'd have them thereabouts.

Murphy in front of Swallow is a crime.

Murphy is underrated and a very classy player. He just doesn't have the body to play as the number #1 midfielder. Teams block his runs deliberately and effectively. It's easy to say, but he'd be much better in a better side.

Swallow is a real hard at it battler, a better leader and much tougher than Murphy, but hasn't got the class that Murphy has.

I know which of the two I'd want to lead a club, and the other I'd rather have at Hawthorn right now. Horses for courses really.

Yeah but the Roos have been better than Essendon in the last 10 years. Agree - if it was a top 5 at the Hawks or Cats but Ryder has 1 top 5 finish in teams that have never won a final.

Ryder is more talented but wastes it IMO. I know who I would prefer.

This is also not the 2003 draft - mindful not to over rate Mundy. He is a good player but just picked his 1st AA up at 30.

Hmmm....

I agree that Swallow is a very good player, and that is his ceiling - but Mundy? Would probably put him in the same basket.
