Nice heritage.

How the fugg did you end up an Essendon kool-aid drinker?

As i keep explaining my beliefs have nothing to do with Essendon, the players were stitched up ( IMO ) left right and center by CAS and WADA, it has SFA all to do with my support of Collingwood.

I don't want to start an argument on here, so we can agree to disagree. :thumbsu:

I went to my first game at Vic Park in the members in the early 70's, my family has been involved in the club ( on and off) but has barracked for the club since it basically began.

Have a few pieces best being the 2010 Premiership piece cost me a fortune.

I always wanted the Buckley retirement piece, never got it and have never seen any for sale.

Received this from my uncle. This is a photo which includes another of my uncles Guy Moore. It also includes Neil Mann and Bob Rose who I was named after. Coincidentally my son played Colts last year with the son of Kane Richards who is Lou and Ron's brother:

I have Collingwood season tickets from 1897, 1898, 1899, 1900 and 1901 framed. They are in immaculate condition. Handed down to me by my dad. Cameron Doyle-former Pie player offered me a lot of money in cash for the set but I knocked him back. I also have the team of the century pic framed and the more recent Collingwood Forever work by Jamie Cooper.

I also have a framed jumper signed by the 1998 team, framed pics of Vic park and Bucks coming out of the race for the 2002 prelim. I have a piece of a seat from the Sherrin Stand on my wall and it has a number on it.

What do you think they would be worth?

Wouldn't Kane Richards be in his 80's or 90's if he is Lou and Ron's brother? How would he have a son playing colts?

Sorry, my bad, Kane was the son of Ron, not brother. Quoted an email below around their family history related to the fact our last game was at Victoria Park. Apologies:

"Hi Grant Neil Murray,

Gents I send you this email in hope and understanding

As selected you have rostered Ed off this week to allow for top age boys to be part of their last game for junior footy

If you are unaware of Eds family history I am now bringing it to your attention The game is at Victoria Park this week and where his grandfather Ron Richards played the majority of his fine VFL career

Ed has been very excited about playing this game since finding out it was scheduled mid season and would be very upset if he missed playing on the hallowed turf of Vic Park

I fully understand that top age boys are considered first and I get that ,but if you could somehow squeeze him in to the squad of 25 that would please him immensely .

Footy can be a brutal game at times but if there is room for sentiment it would be much appreciated in the Richards household.

Kind regards

Kane Richards"

He offered me 10 000 in cash the second time I saw him. That was around six years ago.

Maybe double it, these type of things don't appreciate at the same rate through time.

Great family heirloom, where did your Dad get them from ?.

Most interesting stuff I have is a Collinwood blazer and bomber jacket from the 1930s. Was given to me by the grand daughter of one of the clubs trainers of that time. He had the bomber jacket to wear at games and the blazer when he went on club trips to wear at functions etc.

No one in the family barracked for Collingwood and they knew I was mad Collingwood and had done a few things for them so was a very nice present.

Not a great amount of stuff

- one of those AFL sanctioned 2010 GF footys in a perspex box signed my MM , Pendles and Maxwell
- a 2010 framed GF guernsey signed by the whole team. Has background photos I haven't seen anywhere else and the jumper has a number on the back. Bought it from Swanny at one of those footy nights , so not sure exactly the origins of the jumper.

- a 35 jumper signed with personal message from Daics
- centenary hardcover book on the history of the club with personalised message from Daics
- 2011 Brownlow medal menu/event programme signed by Swanny.

I've got a genuine 1990 Gavin Brown badge. A dog eared 1970's footy record. 2007 Pies jumper signed by the whole team.

The most priceless thing I had was the 1990 Grand Final record signed on the day on the front cover by Darren Millane but stupid me lost it so I don't really collect memoribilia because it broke my heart when I lost it. :(
