We have no need for one this season, apart from if we play against North Melbourne away in a final? Not really a great year for marketing a new top if it's never warn in the season proper... Current one is good, though as above with the back cleaned up a little.

I'll bet they'll still come up with a new one. Kids love buying clash jumpers.

Current clash, is almost perfect, just need to continue the hoops around the back (deleting the two "stripes" with the cat head).

Interestingly, last years indigenous guernsey was essentially that with the addition of the Aboriginal art.

Get that clash altered/corrected and we should never change it.
I think it's great that it stays true to the basic elements of our tradition, and even mirrors the look of some of the very early lace up guernseys worn by the club.

Anyone know where I might be able to pick up these?

Just a heads up to anyone who might be interested. Im sliming down the collection and ill be looking to sell around 20 guernseys to hopefully round up enough cash to finish off my man cave so I have somewhere to display the rest of them. Just putting some finishing touches on the list and then ill be posting it in here later this evening. Keep your eyes peeled!

Hi all,

An amateur question, so please bear with me.

I want to get a Geelong Guernsey or two I have framed and mounted on a wall.

Any advice as to where I should go to get this done, average costs, things to request with it / look out for?

Thanks in advance.

I am by no means an expert in this area, but about 10 years ago I had a Polly Farmer Guernsey framed by the people at Legends and Heroes.
They really specialise in this sort of stuff and did a fantastic job (can't remember what they charged).

Here's their site,

You can call them for a quote (or drop by the store, 417 Swan Street Richmond)

Thanks very much mate, appreciate the advice.

That angled top navy hoop on the new jumper bothers be greatly.

...but then my username does suggest a neurosis in that general direction.

I agree, the cropped "winged" effect at the expense of a proper hoop at top of the guernsey is not an improvement.

The cleaner, the more complete, and wider the hoops look, the better (guernsey circa 2007 a perfect example, possibly our best ever).

I know the new design has come about because ISC has altered their construction template, but it just doesn't suit our hoops (barely noticeable on a Fro or Swans guernsey).

Of course it is a minor thing really, but I just prefer our signature and iconic hoops to be preserved at their best.

I was wondering if anyone knows what year (thereabouts) that this GFC pin is from? My dad gave it to me years ago and can't find anything on the net relating to anything like it. Thanks.

I can't zoom in on it for some reason.

That sort of stuff was big up until the 80's.
So some time before that for mine.

RogersResults any idea?

I also have a few pins and badges with that same design.
From what I have seen suggested (eBay listings, etc) my belief is that they are of circa 1950s vintage. The interesting thing is the logo/monogram isn't representative of any of the club's logo's in any era, but it seems pretty plausible and fairly likely that it is 50s in vintage. Could be early sixties maybe, but unlikely to be later than that I'd say (and i don't believe there have ever been any repro versions)

This Carlton badge looks of a fairly similar style and was listed on eBay as 50s/60s vintage.

I'm no expert, but the simple, elegant design of the piece, along with the design of the insignia looks 1930s to me / possibly early 1940s - also the shade of blue is more from that era. If you compare it to the Carlton badge of the late 50s/60s, it's a lot less 'fussy' - again more in tune with the 1930s design.
