ONE of Thomas or Atley to be dropped, whichever needs more conditioning. Neither look 100% to me. But they are going to provide more than a lot of our VFL players regardless. I'd think we have more dpeth for Thomas than Atley

Out: Thomas, Garner if injured
In: Wood, Nahas

I would seriously look at Majak for Brown this week. If Maj was in, we might have had a way of taking Gawn out of the equation for a while. This is why he could be important moving forward.

We need more run, that means one of the big names will have to fall. Dal or Swallow. Dal for mine.

In: Daw, Mountford, Nahas
Out: Brown, Dal, Garner

I just think "putting more run" in is playing to other teams strengths...we're taking away from what we do best in the hope we don't get flogged by their run, but the reality is Suns/Dogs have a lot more running players than us even with 1 or 2 changes. We should stick to what we do best and play our gamestyle, rather than just lose small by having slightly more run than normal but still less than other teams...

edit: obviously we have Freo this week but more of a long-term outlook unless people are advocating we play our kids v Freo and then bring in the old guys back the next week...

Out: Swallow Garner Thomas

In: Wood Nahas Clarke

LT is back to yippy yipp yippity. He will be dropped soon for humiliating misses. May as well do it now.

Swallow is the equal of Van Berlo. The Crows dropped him and won 2 straight. Should have gone to Gold Coast.

Turner turnstyled about 4 misses on Bumba and has done nothing. Dropped before injury.

Brown is on borrowed time if his hands don't improve. Super spaz Dawes hands.

Out:

Garner (injured hamstring)
Thomas
Swallow
Atley

In:
Wood
Nahas
Dumont
Mckenzie/Clarke/Mountford

You can't have a game Like that and not have changes.

Swallow needs to go get some touch in the VFL I've never seen someone miss so many tackles and fumble the football so much

Thomas' pressure is non existent. His spoil was excellent in the final twenty seconds but that doesn't give him a reprieve for the rest of the game.

Atley, dunno what to do with him.

Garner sat out the last quarter with an injured hammy. Hopefully nothing serious considering his history.

If Jacobs isn't going to tag then he shouldn't be in the side. I'm not sure why they removed his tag from Jones because he was doing quite well.

Wright needs to pull his finger out as well. If we had another half back in form he'd be out as well.
My thoughts exactly. But we are 3 zip and playing shithouse. Do we continue to carry players till they regain form?

Wright is on thin ice. Offered nothing today as a defender.
Atley may or may not have beat his man but **** me that last dinky kick almost cost us the game.
Thank **** for Firrito and MacMillan.

Cunnington would have to be one of the most frustrating midfielders in the league. And I blame Swallow. Cant have them both in there.
Which brings me to the Captain. He needs to go out injured. Cant drop him to the VFL, so give him 2 weeks off and bring him back in the VFL.
Dal Santo is pissing me off with his inconsistent form.
If Garner didnt do his hammy Id drop Thomas for Nahas. Nahas comes in.

Dal plays next week due to pulling his finger out in the last qtr.

Thomas was terrible today, got the yips back and offering very little defensively. Should be dropped, and has a history of responding.

Agree with the calls on Jacobs. Not fit, and not suited to the current gameplan

Out : Garner, Thomas, Jacobs
In : Wood, Mountford, Clarke

Brad Scott won't bring in two 1st games against the Dockers

Looks to me like some of the draftees are putting pressure on the seniors and they are getting the yips, Mountford for instance would give Swallow and Cunnington a flogging if he played against them.

Looking at it logically, Garner won't play. That's one out at least. It will probably be Wood in.

Take a guess as to whether Swallow or Thomas are dropped. I doubt it.

Pretty easy changes this week.

Out: Gibson, Wright, Jacobs, Thomas (omitted) Garner & Swallow (inj)
In: Wood, McKenzie, Dumont, Mountford, Clarke, Wagner.

FB: Firitto - Tarrant - McDonald
HB: Atley - Thompson - MacMillan
C: Wells - Mountford - McKenzie
HF: Wagner - Waite - Higgins
FF: Wood - Petrie - Harvey
R: Goldstein - Cunnington - Clarke
I/C: Ziebell - Dumont - Dal Santo - Brown
I love you like a brother Arj[1], but that team would get smashed.

Wood for Garner - no brainer

I'd drop the tag and do McKenzie for Jacobs. Fyfe's untaggable and I don't think they have anyone else worthy of the honour, so let's see what the kid's got in a full strength team.

If Swallow's even remotely not right give him a rest for one of Dumont, Clarke or Mountford. Dumont with The first claim. Of The other two I suspect Clarke is more ready to go but would be more excited to see Dec.

Gibson stays.

Not sure Nahas or Turner have done enough to claim LT's spot right now but he'd be on thin ice and I'm not sure he isn't descending back down into the yips.

Wright is surely looking over his shoulder but can't see who's fit and demanding his spot.

tl;dr out Garner, Seallow (inj), Jacobs
In Wood, McKenzie, Dumont.

[1]if you saw how my boys get along you'd know what I meant by that.

i know we are 3-0 but when will the coaching staff bring in some fresh blood? i have no doubt we would still be 3-0 with 1 or 2 younger players playing.

Mountford or Clarke would balance out the midfield nicely.

No way we should drop Dal might have had a down day but he is a star and his skills are by far the best in our team
You could tell in the last quarter, while they may not have had great games, Dal & Wells did everything in their power to get us the win. Experience, poise and both cracked in to the contests when needed.

I agree.
unfortunately we have a wanking coach, that's why we can't try young future heroes.
