I can't believe it. After Douglas gets **** all touches in a fortnight, Crouch still getting fitness back after a long lay off, instead we drop Crouch and replace him with another underperforming senior plodder. Second worst midfield of the week by a mile, the only one worse is the team we're facing.

I was against picking brouch the last 2 weeks as he wasn't afl ready, yet we drop him against easier opposition when he can get back some touch.

The coaching staff must be really pissed off with him last week & wanting to make a statement.

Can only assume Vb to play hbf & release Smith into the midfield. Would have prefered Wigg as imo vb is cooked.

He was really ordinary at times last week but not through a lack of effort. Mind boggling stuff.

Are we the most furstrating AFL team this side of richmond, the suns and fremantle. Constantly shooting ourselves in the feet. So F***ing anooying. SO let me get this straight. Brad Crouch tears the SANFL a new one, we bring him back knowing it takes 2 games to find your feet. He plays terribly against the dogs, we back him in, terrible for the 1st half against the cats, so we drop him so he can tear up the sanfl again and then go through the same process in 3 weeks. Who is running that joint down there. Also this kid had no pre-season so has an excuse for lacking form...while thompson and douglas have stunk for 3 weeks yet get a gold pass when the clearly need a rest. THEN TO TOP IT OFF WE BRING BACK VB FOR SOME OUTSIDE GOD DAMN F-ING CLASSS AND SPEED> SACK Campo and Noble you have lost the plot. I laughed when we kept non statistical players in the A's last year, but now we promote them from the magoos..... AFC = Always Fostering Codgers

This could be the worst Crows midfield I've seen in the past 5 years.

Sloane - Gun
Thommo - Slow and defensively bad
Douglas - Horrendous last two weeks
VB - Cooked. Putrid.
Lyons - Depth midfielder

Absolute bullshit from Pyke. He's panicked after a couple of losses and brought in an experienced plodder who offers nothing.

Douglas has been hopeless, arguably worse than the Crouch brothers given he's an experienced mid, yet keeps his spot.

Thommo can't chase/spread hard and is exposed the other way defensively far too easily which has been exactly our problem lately.

No doubt B.Crouch was brought in too early but they did so they had to back him in for longer.

I can't understand why we would replace two mids with a slow half-back with shocking disposal/decision-making and zero agility/awareness. He won't help our hardness at the contest in the midfield and he won't help us chase/tackle in the midfield either.

Terrible selection.

They must be changing up the midfield? Lever and Smith to take the centre bounces?

Not really that surprised tbh. With no SANFL game last week there were never gonna be massive changes, and the coaching staff basically told us that Lyons and VB were the closest to getting a game by limiting their game time the other week. Would have much rather had Douglas out than Brouch, but I'm not unhappy with Mrouch getting a rest. I'd rather have literally any of the SANFL mids in ahead of VB, but at least this suggests that one of Smith, Hendo, or Seed will get more midfield minutes.
