CEY must be doing something wrong in their eyes to not even be included in the emergencies. The outs aren't super mind boggling, although personally would have played Brad, but VB in just defies any sort of logic. Douglas still in makes little sense either.

Far be it for me to support VB, but I'm guessing the rationale is that a defender is moving to the midfield and he's the next defender in line. We're a very simple group down there, devoid of ideas.

Jpod on FiveAA: VB is versatile. He can play half back/wing/inside mid.

Pods, he may be able to physically sit in those positions on the field but he is horrible in all three of those roles at AFL level.

Why not Wigg? Surely this would be the game to give him a sniff. He's quicker and a better kick than VB and he has 10+ years of footy life if he comes good, surely it's worth it especially against the mob we are facing this week.

Would love to her Pyke's reasoning behind bringing van berlo in, but people need to get over their obsession with B Crouch. He's been average ever since he came into the senior side. Yes he's going to be rusty but how many more games can we accept his rustiness? People wanted heads to roll and Pyke has done that, now people complain he's out. Can't win. Great call IMO. One more chance for Douglas.
