Robb was a shocker as a local member so even Alexander's bub would most likely have done at least as well.Glad Downer's demon child didn't get. But with her name she'll get in soon enough.

Says quite a bit doesn't it ?To be fair he is probably the most talented youngish person in the LNP
If you can tell us who else might possibly lay claim to that title we can vote on itTo be fair he is probably the most talented youngish person in the LNP
Wasn't he your standard bearer in the fight against the insidious sectiom 18c of RDA? You so fickle Meds dear.I didn't realise he had left HRC. Left a turd behind on the website though. What a knob.
https://www.humanrights.gov.au/about/commissioners/human-rights-commissioner-mr-tim-wilson
Tim Wilson is Australia’s Human Rights Commissioner. Dubbed the “Freedom Commissioner”, Tim is a proud defender of universal, individual human rights.
Tim graduated with a Bachelor of Arts (Policy) and a Masters of Diplomacy and Trade (International Trade) from Monash University.
..
NO!! who would have guessed.

It's been a convincing campaign from one of the LNP's biggest campaignersHe is running unopposed I believe.
Sukkar seems quite good in the limited capacity I've seen him
I don't rate anyone from that mob based on policy, but think he's one of few with a bit of intelligence. If he had a bit of nous he could make some crap statement about labor being the reason for no paid parking at Eastland and he'll canter inHe is still carrying on about east west link and has done nothing else in 3 years. From the right wing catholic bloc.
Do not rate

When you mentioned Turnbull making dodgy appointments prior to calling the election, was it this sort of thing - jobs for LNP supporters - that you meant?Yes he got that right but he was a hypocrite for taking the job in the first place. As if we need a "human rights commissioner". Fatuous nonsense.

That makes sense to me in terms of making sure people are committed to being non-political. I also would quite like to see easier ways for public servants to be dismissed as this seems to be an ongoing issue, and the old idea of Privatisation is an expensive and unpopular way to get around it. But that's a different issue, and of course you don't want ideologues coming in and sacking everyone who doesn't agree with them.If you a public servant you can't run for parliament, they should extend that rule so that you cannot run for parliament if you have had a government position above a certain level in the last 5 years.

Yes, from memory they were the only jobs the current Liberals cut after promising they would sack 12,000 public servants. That is what happens at the end of every election cycle, especially recently where the governments have been polar opposites and playing musical chairs with the PM's job.

I can't believe they are even in the race for a second term. Surely no-one will ever break as many promises as them.
I'm not so sure. The election is over after events on the weekend.
LNP only need to put the idea in the electorates head that Labor is soft on terrorist asylum seekers and they will romp in.
I'm not so sure.
Turnbull isn't Abbott, likewise the ALP took a bipartisan approach to all of the Govs nonsense.
Finally, the Sydney siege happened under the Libs. At the time this was a poll booster but on reflection and given the hooha surrounding its handling, I think a pivot to scaremongering would be a bad idea.
Whilst I sort of agree, and if the ABC etc. are genuine they will belt Turbull over the NBN and economic performance, I think the terrorism card means a return to Abbott style government. They haven't got any other play.
The cynic in me thinks there will be a big hoohaa anti-terrorism arrest in the week leading up to election day.
It is what we have been reduced to, unfortunately.![]()

SMH would pillory them over it.
Malcolm Abbott, yesterdays scare campaigns etc. will be painted as desperate.
