Apologies for any inconvenience. We will try to find a replacement.
id like the best three pure midfielders please.
Pure being spends the majority of their time there? Predominantly inside winning the hard ball. Predominantly outside providing run and carry and kicking goal. A little bit of both?
combination of dangerfield pendlebury ward & fyfe please.
actually think we need elite ball users and some pace plus some size to help cripps. cant beat class

That was my thought. Need someone strong enough to go inside and give Cripps some relief, use the ball well and have some acceleration. Closest is Brodie whose ball use is good but not great according to Phantom Drafter Knightmare. I guess if someone had all we wanted in the one package they would go at #1.
Question is what can improve? Pace you either have or don't. Contested ability you can improve on, but clearance beasts are usually apparent early. Just a matter of whether he can raise his game to great ball user rather than just good. He also has the ability to run on the outside with ball in hand and overlap.
If the write ups are accurate, he is the one I'd prefer as he ticks more boxes for year 2 of our rebuild.
i know people talk about tomlinson etc but id be very happy if sos got 4-5 picks inside top 25 instead. seems as though there is some real midfield talent there and if we got 4 young gun midfielders to add to our list it would make a massive difference ala dogs. we have a very talented defence and some young forwards who need time.
What would you be willing to give up in order to get them?
that of course is the question. need some sos magic. we will have something around 5 & 23 to start. may include trading future picks or our first round for 2-3 picks inside top 20 or trading a player like everitt and a pick. also like to see us go to the draft with a good 6-8 picks all up plus rookies. good players can come from anywhere.
...Jack Steele?Hmmm. Not too keen on trading our 2017 first round pick. I'm all for trading the 2018 one, but 2017 I think it would be wiser to keep that one.
Everitt and a pick will not yield a first rounder unless that pick is that #23 you speak of. We'd probably get an upgrade to something like pick #15 for Everitt and #23.
Boekhurst is one guy we could shop around for another second rounder. Maybe turn that second rounder into another GWS pack. Would be great if we got Tomlinson and Marchbank in that package. They do need to clear up some room...

We don't have a lot of trade value to get us further into the first round.
My feeling is that Silvagni is a logical replacement for Everitt anyway as far as forward play goes and Tomlinson will cover that tall midfield runner role.
we do its just people dont seem to think we will do it. no one thought we would trade menzel last year. i just get the impression that sos & bolton may do something people dont expect. to trade an everitt gibbs tuohy bokehurst casboult etc would be really left field but i could see them doing if it would advance our list. i certainly dont expect us to be quiet come trade period. there may be deals everywhere
last year we were happy to move menzel henderson & yarran who had questionable commitment. everitt i put in the same boat and is easily covered
Yes on Everitt as he is up and down commitment wise, but some of the other names .... let's just say it would send a really bad message to trade away the hard workers.
What has Everitt done that makes people question his commitment, last year when the rest of them gave up Everitt was one of very few still having a crack.

Just in case you've missed previous posts from me, Gibbs is going nowhere, so any trade wish list you have will have to exclude him.we do its just people dont seem to think we will do it. no one thought we would trade menzel last year. i just get the impression that sos & bolton may do something people dont expect. to trade an everitt gibbs tuohy bokehurst casboult etc would be really left field but i could see them doing if it would advance our list. i certainly dont expect us to be quiet come trade period. there may be deals everywhere

Trade Tuohy? I can only assume this is a bit of Irish humour. He will be at Carlton for his entire career.
Boekhorst? Unless he decides he wants a trade back to WA, we will not be trading him. He offers something which we don't have a lot of on our list; leg speed. That he also has some really good tricks to go with it & is a very good user of the ball, makes him an integral part of our rebuild.
The players we traded last year (Bell excepted) were all conditional players. Henderson & Yarran wanted out & Menzel was obviously happy to go back home. None of Gibbs, Tuohy, Boekhorst or Casboult fit this description. Everitt, on the other hand, I could see entertaining a move.
