If you want to catch a Zapdos or Mewtwo you'll need to venture into St Albans, or in my case - Armadale at night. Damn game isn't f***ing around.
Getting shot seems like a fair trade off for capturing a legendary, I think.

just a tip guys driving doesn't seem to help very well with getting the kms up to hatch eggs, and it's kinda dangerous trying to catch pokemon while driving.:thumbsu:

Drove home with my missus. Thought we'd give it a go. We kinda got a bit carried away. A couple U turns and detours and we got home with about 8 or so new Pokemon :)

So far have a:

2x Growlithe
Exeggcute
Onix
Ekans
Sandshrew
Geodude
Machop
Bulbasaur

Just took a couple of gyms near where I live.

A mate and I took one from someone else and put a couple of Pokemon in it to strengthen, hope it holds.
How does this gym thing work? Not level 5 yet so don't know

If the gym is unoccupied you put a Pokémon in it and you own it straight away. People from other teams can fight it to knock you out and grab it for themselves and you get your Pokémon back, if they lose it stays in.

If the gym is occupied by a rival team you battle the Pokémon with your team of six so if there's only one in there it's pretty easy to win. If you win the gym becomes vacant and you drop a Pokémon in.

If the gym is already occupied by your team you can add your Pokemon to it to strengthen the gym and make it harder for rivals to defeat.

I've got one of those rhino Pokemon nearby. Don't want to go outside though as I'll probably get knifed.

Oh ok cool that explains why there's a Growlithe hovering over one of the gyms nearby. What's the benefit of owning a gym?

I own 11 gyms at the moment, and on a couple of occasions I have suddenly received 4k worth of Star Dust.

This is pretty cool.

Have a pretty busy day tomorrow but going to put most of it off to roam the streets looking for virtual Pokemon. [emoji1303]
