Hi guys, asking a bit of a favour here but...

Have a free weekend so I am going to come to Perth. Can, when teams are announced let me know where Matty Allen is playing and at what time so I can go and sledge him...I mean support him :). I'm sure it will be nice/annoying/downright irritating to have one of the guys from his old cricket club yelling encouragement and cracking in jokes about his step dad.

Also, seeing it would be my first time in Perth and I am staying in Leederville, whether public transport or driving would be better to get to the ground...and what price is beer at the grounds.

Cheers

Jumbo
The game this weekend is in Bassendean, you better hug your family before you leave and don't carry cash.

Less someone making way for Hill, but yeah hopefully Adamson in the ressies was a once-off.

Allen would be a good chance of coming in to replace McInnes I'd have thought?
There's another kid called Samelko who deserves a crack before Allen.

Don't worry, I looked it up on the map and thought it was disturbingly close to Midland. I remember years ago a friend describing Midland by saying " remember the club that Swayze was looking after in Roadhouse, that'd be the classy, non violent club in Midland"

That's awesome (and correct). Good luck to catching up with Allen. For a first year KPF, he has shown a bit this year and is at least kicking a few goals both in ressies and league (which WC haven't had seen for a while from a young KPF). He seems to have a good attitude as well and keen to learn off the senior blokes.

Yeah Matty is a bit gifted when it comes to sports, though I must admit I am a little disappointed he didn't follow through with cricket as he is a serious player but still it must have been a nice conundrum to have at 17 which sport shall I play at the highest level.

Bunga Hurn had to make the same decision......

B: Fraser MacKenzie Cole
HB: Brophy Gorter Lague
C: Blee Tunbridge Omodei
HF: Wulff Lamb Karpany
F: Allen Johnson Oakley-Nicholls
R: Giles Mutimer Sheed
I: Hille Adamson Bennell Roche Maginness Ameduri Hodgson

In: Omodei, Allen, Hille, Bennell, Roche, Adamson, Maginness, Ameduri
spacer.gif

Out: McInnes, Lucas, Ellis, Colledge (all inj), Duggan, Redden (WCE)

Tunbridge and Mutimer named on ball along with Sheed. Allen comes in. Adamson and Bennell on the extended bench, but with at least three to drop out plus probably two Eagles emergencies to come back in they'll be struggling to both hold their spots.

Partington has apparently recovered from whatever was wrong with him as he's been named in the reserves along with Snadden. Sam Powell-Pepper's also in the side.

Probably not the right thread for this video but saw this during the week and thought it showed how great the WAFL used to be and also the flair Aboriginal players add to our great game.

For those who have never seen Michael Mitchells mark, go to the 38sec mark.
wow, you wouldn't mind having the Krakeours in your side would you.

I've never seen much of their footage but that first goal was pretty amazing

Keyser it always had been.

But I am also a bit biased as that shit hole ( with a sandy inconsistent bounce surface, was where I played my last ever game of football.:'(:rage:
One minute I had just kicked my third for the game with 20 minutes of the game left then..... Kowpow ..... ACL anterior cruciate F*****, PCL posterior cruciate F***** and Medial collateral ligament F*****. Next minute in an :ambulance: then in Fremantle :hospital: being Xrayed and fasting for surgery that had been scheduled for :syringe: :knife::knife::knife: at 10.00 am next morning.

After coming round from the op The Club and the Dr game me the news after the surgery..... game , set and match.
At age 24. NO MORE FOOTBALL EVER :gun::gun:

I took it well :tonguewink: :drunk::drunk::drunk: I was only angry for the next 10 years.
Worst thing is that my younger brother got promoted from Colts to take my place .
He then duly went on to win a premiership medal and then a few years latter a second.
Younger Brother 2 :trophy::trophy:..... ME 0.

ME Bitter ....table for one.

So Keyser Soze I can concur Fremantle Oval is a shithole of the worst kind.
Hey Monocle - will you be there today?

Can confirm they were really something special. Unfortunately, I am old enough to remember them well. Phil was sensational.
