At my work we get a lot of 25 and unders calling in.

I swear, 10% of all the kids I talk to are named Jack. Not sure why. Can't think of any reason. None of these were particularly influential around 1990..

Just so we don't blink and miss it, can I just remind everyone that Jarryn Geary not only kicked two crunch goals in a minute today, he also took a hanger between two opponents that would be worthy of a nomination for mark of the week.

Watched a video 5 years ago where all the saints players were asked multiple questions.

They got to "what's the worst thing about being an afl player?"

Our players were saying things like the media, being recognised in public, preaseasons...

They asked Jarryn and he replied "losing"

Great post...Gears seems like the type of bloke who was always overlooked. He's a talented player, he won the B&F for Bendigo in 2006 as a teammate of Joel Selwood's but was overlooked in the draft then taken with pick 58 at the 2007 Rookie Draft. Took him 7 years to reach 100 games.

I've always enjoyed supporting the underdog, always felt a soft spot for blokes who give their all to the cause but never get the plaudits they deserve. I've always been a massive fan of Gears and now he's showing everyone how much of a player he can be/is becoming.

I put down Gears to be one of our most improved this year, I got a few laughs but I did suggest an Easton Wood kind of rise, not quite there but loving his season so far.

How good were his two goals? Massive kudos to gears, we had them on the ropes in the 2nd quarter and his two goals really gave them a blow they never really recovered from. Considering his disposal can be iffy at best, these two goals were even more impressive.

I know I enjoyed his rare goals at home on the couch and judging by the roar I could hear through the speakers, everyone at the game enjoyed them too!!

From roast to toast, so glad I`ve buttered him up in the past. In all honesty though, very suspect at kicking short distances to a team mate, but put him in front of goal & he becomes the proverbial goal kicking monster.
Love how the Saints can turn backmen into goal kicking machines, on the weekend we had Bruce, Geary, Robbo & Joey, cant see how Paddy is going to be able to get a game now, maybe fullback.
