If the Hawks cannot get over Colonwood with what's at stake they would simply be making up the numbers in the Finals. A top 4 finish would be good considering this current Hawks team not worthy of polishing the boots of the 2012-15 greatest dynasty ever team. Quite embarrassing for every other team that the Hawks could finish on equal wins after Sunday on the decline and slowly rebuilding.

I'm a realist and have been all season at no point in the season did I think the Hawks were the best. I might joke around on the occasion but the Hawks have been consistently average all season by their lofty standards. Still open as to who could win it given most teams have serious flaws and after the display of a couple teams recently I would rank the Hawks 3rd most likely to win it this year...... if they win tomorrow. Much of that has to do with their experience in Finals. On form alone they probably rank around 5th-6th most likely to win.
Sydney and Geelong will emerge as the outright favourites after this weekend.
Oh and go Norf for tonight, I really want to see that abomination of a team suffer a quick finals exit as come next year I don't see any team matching the cheats.

It astounds me when people keep suggesting GWS will win a multitude of premierships on the basis of having multiple high draft picks.

Before this current game they'd never beaten a top 8 team away from home.

A hand picked draw this year has enhanced their performance.

I'd be stunned if they ever win one and they have done everything right. Gold Coast will merge with Brisbane because it's only time before the AFL can't afford to pay for them any longer. Actually wouldn't be surprised if that was the strategy all along up there.

Nah they want a game every week in those two states. Unfortunately the AFL ****ed up when Demetriou was accused of wanting Norf to merge with Gold Coast no matter what, and in order to protest his innocence he let them stay in Melbourne. Norf should have merged with Gold Coast, the Dogs with GWS.

It all depends on the ebb and flow of the market up North. For the AFL to maximise any future profit both Brisbane and Gold Coast need to remain as viable entities so the AFL can ensure that market remains as competitive as possible... Some type of concessions will be granted to Brisbane in the short term.

I lived up that way for around 6 years and the growth the area had in regards to AFL development and in particularly Victorians had the league licking their lips...this game has a lot of support up North. Aussie Rules was in the infant stages of surpassing Rugby League and that's their prime objective, so they'll get as much of a leg-up as possible.

The game isn't about the fans or the game itself anymore hence my dwindling interest.

The money hungry Greek swine that goes by the name of Andrew Demetriou was the single biggest factor in ****ing this sport entirely.

Now greed and corruption are rife.

Expansion is a slap in the face to struggling Victorian clubs and the person who said soccer will eventually become the #1 sport in this country is on the money as more and more people begin to lose interest.
