You have no idea. Both Watts and Brooks were struck down with very serious injuries.

Plenty of players get injuries and play more than a couple of games. Playing a small handful of games between them for 2 first rounders and a second probably means it wasn't terribly great, hindsight or not.

So sounds like JOM may have failed a medical at North and Saints. Surely he doesn't pass one at Dons and Hawks? Hawks have every right to have a crack at him. A bit of possible failure after 3, maybe 4, flags isn't the worst thing. He could either make or break Essendon. Loading up on a star after the 4 years could be what they need... But if he flops, wow.

Yep hawks took a chance on dayle garlett when noone else would.... that blew up on them, but it was worth rolling the dice in their position.

If the media are correct regarding his injuries & failed medicals then Ess would be stupid to part with any pick within the first 30 picks IMO. But you are right they'll give up something. I'd say pick 19 would be as far as they'd go. They'll just play the risk of his injuries card to justify the offer.

And so they should. Worth the risk for them. 12 players back in, Merrett Parish and McDonald Tuppen Whatever and new hope. Throw in Mc Luggage and O'Meara and watch the meia salivate all over them.
