There is absolutely no pressure on Geelong now. Finished a dismal 10th last year, widely tipped to miss finals again. Super old and slow backline, terrible losses to bottom 8 sides and basically fell into the top 4 thanks to some WCE heroics and have now managed to win into a prelim in Melbourne

This season has been a success so far for the rebuilding GFC, anything else is just icing on the cake.

How about that rushed behind with no player within 20 metres of the Hawk. And the deliberate on the boundary line for a Bruest goal. Funny how most of our frees were in the back half/deep wing, whereas the Hawfs get all theirs forward of centre or straight from a stoppage.

We all know when Smith marked that ball 95% of you handbaggers were half way out the door to a Geelong Dynasty long weekend special. Two weeks of telling the world Geelong were going to smash Hawthorn and it came down to one kick.

I must admit it was horrible watching that last play unfold at the ground, as soon as Burgoyne got it I knew we were in trouble, and you seemed to have blokes free everywhere. I thought Breust had buggered it up at first with the Enright smother. Then when Smiff had the mark I was contemplating hiding under the seat until it was all over, but watched it. For a horrible second from behind him on the wing it looked good, then just kept going right.

TBH it's not the way I'd like to win, and kinda disappointed in our last couple of minutes to not get another goal or bottle it up. We're actually really ordinary in those situations as a rule over the last couple of years, but anyway very happy nonetheless.
