Sure was ,,, but clearly PBC and Labrador have been the sides to make the big one all season ,,,
Pbc looked much better with 3 good players back from injury , but how they will knock off Labrador next week ,, well I just cant see that happening

That was after they had 5 early losses and everyone on here predicted them to go unbeaten.

Don't get me wrong they are a very good side. Going to be a great game this weekend. Two best teams all year deserve their place in the gf.

Yeah reckon somewhere like Surfers or Broadbeach would be great venues for this sort of local derby.

SMY, agree so much ,,now u know Im a Broadbeach supporter,, but look at the facilities at their home ground now.... best in the comp and better then Yeronga headquarters ...eg,.their change rooms are state of the art for this level of footy , new coaches boxes and bench for the players, ample parking, bbq and kiosk foods , a licensed clubhouse , good spectator facilities and a large ground with a good playing surface ,,,
Suggest the crowd might be 2000 plus at Yeronga ,,, but if played at Broadbeach I reckon the crowd might of hit 3000... no doubt supporters from both Labrador and PBC would front up, plenty of Broadbeach, Surfers and Southport,,, and many lower division players and supporters like Robina, Coolangatta etc would attend ..
Anyway ,, just my opinion.

People will say that if Sydney play GWS in the GF then it would still get played at the MCG - but thats different at that level where corporate $$ play a really heavy part of the event plus you cant decide 1 week out from an AFL grand final where it is going to be staged. A QAFL GF you could I would suggest.

perhaps they should split the competition into Brisbane and Gold Coast. Whilst not good for an even competition maybe best for the supporters.

Or they could just play the GF at an appropriate location.

I was sure the Magpies would win to be honest, very surprised by that result. Losing their best inside midfielder in Gareth Crawford to injury before the game would have hurt them, and apparently they left out their leading goalkicker in Dickfos - which is a brave move. But I don't think thats 80 points worth!

Are you serious? they left out a gun inside on-baller from country victoria on a tight ground in wet conditions?

Hope we have his number still!

has to be discipline or injury related. I watched a few games mid year and he was their best midfielder by a mile. Assumed he had been injured for a while, as they were playing him mostly outside - which clearly not suited.

No way he's dropped if fully fit.

Hi guys,

Thanks for the kind words regarding my football.
I just wanted to clear things up before any speculation came out regarding disciplinary action or anything else. QAFL Fan, you seem to be very well informed as you noticed that I was being played out of position for some time. For these reasons, my form dropped away which led to my being left out of the team on Saturday morning. I think that the conditions and ground would have suited my natural playing style quite well, but as mentioned, that doesn't make up 80 points haha
That's about it.
Good luck to Labrador and PBC on Saturday!

Have a look at the Gold Coast Bulletin today and see the scathing comments written by QAFL reporter , Terry Wilson ...in reference to playing the Grand Final at Yeronga ...... He is spot on ..

Heard today that thornsen got 2 weeks last night. If this is true it's a fair blow to Labrador.

I also heard they are flying in Ryan Davey for the game? Surely that's a massive gamble as the bloke hasn't played for over 6 weeks.
