He left west coast for more opportunity and got it for the best part of four years. It's hard to see how that wasn't a successful move. He has been overtaken in the league's deepest midfield, so he's moving for more opportunity again. Why trash his ability and then act like he's doing something wrong by attempting to maintain his career? Should he just quit because he's not an elite player?

I humbly apologise for my inadequate telepathy. I really don't think you've thought this through though.

If Koby overrated himself, he would be more likely to stay with the bulldogs and back himself in to break into our elite midfield.

If Koby agreed with you that he is merely a depth player, surely it is in his best interests to secure his career with a longer term contract at a weaker club where he is not quite as far down the pecking order.

Going to St. Kilda does not suggest Koby overrates himself in any way- in fact, it suggests the opposite. Even if he goes there and becomes a depth player, that's a much better result for him than being a depth player at the dogs with a much smaller contract.

I think we will get pick 60 unfortunately. He only cost us pick 44 (I think) and I'd assume his value has gone down. I'd imagine if no other clubs are interested in Stevens we will just delist him anyway,I think his value is very close to zero.

Future pick to us perhaps? I doubt GWS would take a future pick, but a future second wouldn't be a bad result for us (though that is likely overs, but I assume that the saints will move up the ladder). A future third more likely and would be worse than 42 in all likelihood.

Disagree he was in our best 22 nearly all season and as the finals showed it's guys like Koby and Tom Mitchell that win you finals not the Motlop or Rohan's of the league. A lot of clubs need more midfield depth and grunt

How come all of GWS depth get them great trades but whenever the depth of the of anyone else (us as Premiers) depth who can't get a run are automatically only worth 3rd or 4th rounders?

All that aside though,will clubs know we have no choice but to de list him because of list spots and will trade accordingly.
