If Josh Caddy is only worth a second round pick (for next year), I dare say Masten is a 3rd or 4th round.
Caddy is worse than Masten. Masten would actually be a nice fit a side with a good set of inside mids and no decent outside runners. He can accumulate it on the outside and his disposal is actually not that bad. If you asked some of our forwards they would rate his kicking as one of the best to lead to. I can remember jk saying that earlier in the year. I would have loved to trade him so it allows a kid like duggan a spot.

Did we put Schofield and Masten up for trade like Brad Hardie suggested? Masten i would have been fine with but i think Schoey offers the team a lot.

I look forward to Parto, Nelson or Duggs taking Mastens spot next year. Happy for him to play out his career at EP or just retire out of frustration don't really care.

Andrew Gaff likes this.

Ditto. I've been willing to give him the benefit of the doubt in a mediocre team, but I'm a bit over it tbh.

I'm really surprised Collingwood didn't target eMac

1. They just lost Nathan Brown
2. He has consistently performed well against them (shutting down Cloke repeatedly)
3. Lynden Dunn is an absolute crab

The Magpies game was Emac's last game this year .He really played like a spud sorry to say and wouldn't have made too many magpies fans wish he was in their team ..

I would trade Masten for Caddy and I would also trade Masten for a second rounder in this draft. Alas nobody came knocking and we get to see Chris in his Airport ride video's again next year.

Seems everyone is content with a best and fairest winner likely playing WAFL again in 2017 then.
I'm content that we didn't trade out a B&F for a lowly draft pick like 88.

I'm content that we've shown faith that he can recover the confidence he lost after a knee reconstruction and a revamped defensive system in his absence

I'm content that he maintains pressure on Barrass and Schofield for a place in the 22 so they don't get complacent. And that we have depth in our KPD position which also opens the possibility for other structural changes like gov going forward

For me pick
12 Shai Bolton
34 Josh Rotham may have to pick up liam Ryan here as Freo may swoop with next pick 35 or 40
54 Liam Ryan
106 Jake Waterman

Now we have Vardy we should delist Mcinnes, for another pick, even Karpany as well.

I don't think he was keen either tbh. Plus he is probably too dumb to realise he is on the outer.

Would have thought tiger have learnt their lesson by now but no, they had to pick up another average player. I despise the tigers but it wouldn't be bad seeing them up and going again.

Uppercut yourself in the kindest way possible. :)

With his confidence back McKenzie is our best lock down defender, I think people forget just how good he was as a defender.

If he gets back to form it allows us to use McGovern up forward and allows Darling to play the lead up high HF role which he's great at.

Emac
Barrass
Lycett
McGovern Darling
Kennedy

If Keyser does a sliding doors article.

Then he will lose all respect on this board.

If it's anything like his podcast rants, Keys articles will be laden with C bombs and turn into an 8 paragraph spiel per club.

Would be entertaining :thumbsu:

Liam Ryan might be a bit of a reach at 54.
