This would create absolute meltdowns for romantic pies fans.
Knightmare is an emotionless computer program. Romance means nothing to it.

Have players rated higher on my draft board remaining.

All yours.
Pretty risky strategy - there may be players rated higher on your draft board right now, but in reality by matching you'd be giving up 45, not really using 39. Will those players still be there at your next pick?

Interested to see how it plays out.

Butane is this the greatest profile gif of all time.

I can't say I'm a huge fan personally of either of the Collingwood father son choices.

Hope I'm wrong but I'm seeing lack of skill and x-factor from Brown and lack of hardness and contested ball winning from Daicos.

With each my of three remaining selections I'll be picking players I rate ahead of Brown and Daicos.

I had an inkling that Rotham would slide to our second, might be why I rank Scrimshaw and Berry lower at our first. Decent chance it happens in the real thing too. That said I find it hard to believe there won't be a bid on Bowes and 3 or 5, so it's a moot point. I think we'll go best mid available which will likely be the remainder of SPS, Taranto or Brodie.

I really, really hope so, but highly doubt it.

Geelong select Ryan Garthwaite

Ryan Garthwaite
Murray Bushrangers/GWS Academy/NSW-ACT
DOB: 30/6/98, Height: 192cm, Weight: 83kg
Position: Key Defender

2016 Stats:

Profile: Rangey key defender who rarely gets beaten one on one. Garthwaite reads the ball well and positions himself well against his opponent. Also shows he can peel off against his opposition and become an intercept player. Has arguably the most unconvential kicking style in the draft pool but it is reliable. Second in the 2016 Murray Bushrangers B&F, Third as an U17 in 2015 and finished equal first in the clean hands test at the national combine.

Rational: Needed stocks in the key position/defender department for Geelong, and getting a very highly rated defender. Also considered Elliott Himmelberg and Patrick Kerr.

Ah i think no one saw it, Geelong bid on Ryan Garthwaite again haha.

GWS decline to match the bid

Good player and lot I really like about him but there is a weakness there and given got some picks coming up and the fact a number of players I rate higher I will pass. If had been around later plan was to take him.

For what its worth I've seen a lot of him and he has some really good attributes that are AFL quality for sure.

I already want KO him and this isn't even a real draft

The selection or non-selection of father sons can evoke emotion one way or the other in fans.

I just don't rate either inside my top 45 to consider the matching of bids on either at this stage in the draft to be viable in my position as Collingwood selector in this draft.

Personally I'd only take either as rookies.

There are better prospects in this draft (in my view) that I can take with my following selections.

Geez Knightmare. Still surprised you haven't taken Ronke by now.

There is no way Collingwood passes on those kids.

No I agree and given the effective cost of them a bit surprising but to be fair if he has players more highly rated then he is sticking to a plan. Atley, Walker, Begley and Poholke are names Knightmare might rate more highly as is betting one of them falls through. Begley would have thought is one.

I dont have a pick for another 10-13 or so but have got probably that number of players on my board ahead of a couple of Academy boys so will be interesting from here on.

But agree Collingwood wouldnt pass both if at #36 and #39. I see both boys in the 30-50 range.

Yeah, no problems with it.

This was always going to be a 'where I rate them' mock rather than 'this is what I think will happen' one.

In the real one, the Pies don't overlook a kid named Daicos unless he's bid on prior to 30.

Agree but it depends on who might fall through. If you had Begley rated in the 20's and you thought he is a chance of holding to #44 then you may.......buts its a gamble.
