Morning all! Just drove past the FOX FM studios and saw these 2 legends sitting down for a coffee with coach Triplett.

Can you all imagine that? C Judd running around in the Ballarat league. WOW.

While you are name dropping, can you give us the name of the poor local kid who gets dropped so C Judd can have 15 minutes of game time in the forward pocket, while getting $5,000 to do it

Alabama, it shouldn't really matter should it? The Panthers are no good anyway...

The good news Alabama Slammer is that we have reserved 2 x Category A seats for you on the wing front row for the Judd game.

Well thats Patty D signing off for the weekend. I'll be back on Monday with some more big news for you all so stay tuned.

If it includes grog and party pies count me in, and see if you can get Richo or Jeff Hogg later in the year

Gents, strap yourselves in for another edition of Paddy's Pearls of Wisdom.

More big news coming out of the mighty Panthers.

:footy: Looks like Houlihan is out of Deer Park and will join his mate Fev at the panthers in the new year.

:footy: What do we think about Good Friday footy??? Big mail the Panthers have locked it in for 2017 at home v Sebastapol. Big Fev v Adam Goodes. Looks like Ticketmaster are jumping onboard to help cope with the demand on ticket sales. Alabama, dont worry, you'll have your VIP seats reserved for you.

Have a great week all.

Regards,
PD

South v Sebas on good Friday, oh yippee
Playing Melton, darley or marsh would be 100x times better

Come on AB dont be like that. You're living in the past. Get with the times. The Panthers are the team everyone wants to see. I'll see if I can get arrange an extra VIP seat for you next to Alabama Slammer.

Got to meet coach Triplett & coach Fev last night at the Melton Country Club last night (new big major sponsor - rumour is 50k). Triplett seems to know his stuff and has footy smarts about him. And Fev... WOW, what a unit. His hands are the size of watermelons. Cant think of a defender in the comp that will be able to punch the ball out of his hands this year!

Credit to President Morrisey and his committee for making this happen.

The Panthers are on the prowl.

Who's Fev playing for in 2017?

Fair bit of talk around the points and salary cap out at our neck of the woods in the RDFL and EDFL also. What are the thoughts of the BFL clubs? Whether you agree or not I say Good on Melton South for clearly sticking it to goldfields re the new “club sustainability program” which we were all told was meant to encourage building your club through your juniors and to stop the spending and high recruiting numbers by clubs . Is the model now go to the bottom for couple years, save money, get extra points granted and go whack recruit like crazy spend beyond the salary cap which no one will get caught for. I love that basically in Year 1 and 2 clubs are showing AFL Vic and in our area Goldfields their plan to equalize is farcical, clubs, and smart ones, clearly Melton South have some very smart people involved are making a mockery of it already. Good on them. Everyone else may as well join them, just like the EDFL, the arms race continues and the administrators whilst saying they are against it are actually supporting it.

I read Melton have signed Angus Grigg from Aberfeldie. Key forward. Think this signing will finally result in some goals for the bloods. Done some research, In 2010 kicked 77 goals in the Murray league as a 19 year old. And 83 goals from 12 games in the CMFL in 2013. Both not the worst leagues going round. Played Collingwood VFL also.

Have not had much success with key forward recruits over the years, hopefully this is a good move.

Highly skilled player who likes a goal. Wouldn't have come cheap was on big money in 2013(rumoured $1000+per game). At the rate he is going by the time hes finished he will have more clubs than Tiger Woods.

You mean North Ballarat in the VFL ab? Came through the Rebels in TAC cup.

PD's 2 cents worth... Grigg got dropped twice at Abers last year and had 3 touches in the granny. If the money they say hes on is true, the bloods have lost the plot. All i know is, Adam Houli will have a picnic playing on him.
