I was pushing hard for Ainsworth but as I said I'm very happy with McÇluggage he said on SEN he can't wait to play under Fagan and has good mates already at the club in Schache Matho and is bestmates with Berry
Jason Akermanis you mean?Cedrix Cox is an absolute ripper. He kicks so well off both sides that you cant even tell which is his natural side.

Yeah, I think the Ainsworth (and to a lesser extent Taranto) hype was so great because McCluggage looked to be completely out of the picture. Very happy with nabbing him. It feels like we got everyone we wanted with those first 4 picks, which is great. Interesting looking at a lot of the analyst ratings of the talent. More have McCluggage as the no.1 talent over McGrath.
That'll do.Jason Akermanis you mean?
We seemed to have drafted players that can kick the ball and use it well.
Berry is easy CHUCK.It has been a very solid draft with the picks we had. No draft is perfect but I don't think we can complain too much at all.
Pick three was an easy one and really the only logical choice. Kind of fell into our lap a bit. McCluggage could be a starter for a bunch of games next season.
I think we have used those next three picks very well but would expect that we might not see more than a glimpse of them at the top level next season, if at all. But they have time and will be well coached.
Allison will need to work very hard but in a professional environment he has the opportunity to develop quite quickly. I would be surprised and impressed if he played beyond NEAFL level next season.
Interesting now to see who we have in mind to rookie.
Now onto the all important assigning of nicknames!
Suggestions?

Lyons - RossMcCluggage - Bags/Suits(case)
Berry - Bluey
Witherden - Wits
Cox - Potts (Cedric Harry Potter reference)
McCluggage = Clutch
Berry = Chuck
Witherden = Wizard
Cox = ?
Allison = ?
Lyons = Brion
Stellar draft.
I wanted Ainsworth bad but how can you feel anything but stoked about getting the consensus best player in the draft at Pick 3?
Berry at our second pick was my personal best outcome and Witherden completed the trifecta.
I don't know much about Cedric Cox or Lyons but most of the comments seem positive.
Well done recruiters!!
Go Lions!!
