GC used pick 10 to match, which they got for JOM. Pick 8 was Melbourne's traded in the previous year.

GWS didn't retain any of the picks they traded in last year. Pick 7 went to Freo, 16 to us and someone got Adelaide's second rounder in a separate deal.

So no examples to test it against yet.

Sorry, not Berry. Hugh. From what I hear he had his heart set on Victoria, loves the farm life down here. Having Jarrod might help him though, however the rumour (just a rumour, I wont say it is fact) around the office of the paper is that he wants to stay in Victoria still. I hope the club can turn that around, and I want to say I will back them in. I'm just more worried about this one than any of the other draftees since 2013.

I tyhought it went the other way = we, hopefully, do not have to waste a Port's first on Balla - but can pay with later picks - thereby getting an extra first rounder.

We're still seeking clarification but are of the belief Port's pick can't be used for matching bids, which is incredibly stupid on the AFL's part but wonderfully astute craftsmanship from Schwab et. al

It is the weekend + I assume the draftees are all in their home states packing to get down here to start this week? You will no doubt see much more stuff this week and beyond. Bit harsh on the media department who do a great job IMO.
