Heppell priced at $513k is an absolute bargain.

Fully expect David Myers to flourish with a full 18 month pre season behind him. Will be a regular in the 22. At 133k is a steal as well

That's the thing, Danger + Gawn will chew up around 1/7 of the starting cap for those going down that road.

It's crap. That played 5 and 2 games last year and both are huge injury risks. I'll probably steer clear of at least one of them now.

As I say to you every year. It is almost ny impossible to get the top 16 mids in SC. If you get the top 8 you have done incredibly well.

To fill the other half of your midfield list is where the points are won and lost and Heppell could be a value bet instead of a mid pricer clogging up banging out 80 - 100's. Hep could very well go 115+

Picking the top 8 mids is overrated. It only matters what they average from when you pick them up.

eg Bont was ordinary for the start of the year, I picked him up after his 149 vs Adelaide and (off the top of my head) he averaged 115 or so from there on in. But his total average was only 108.

You could do the same in reverse. Parker (for example) averaging 110 doesn't matter when bulk of those points were in the first 10 rounds and you get him after that.

Has been a walk up start when fit. That is the only problem though, "when fit". Tends to miss lots of footy but when he does play, could hold an 80 average which for that price, you would take every day of the week

The lack of discounts on players is annoying but we should be used to VS/CD/HS making up the rules as they go along.

Beams is tempting. Could be a top 30 scoring midfielder for the year. At the price he is likely to be, is a risk well worth taking. I will be imho
