Potential Milestones in 2017
Garland - 9 games needed for 150 Games
Watts - 13 Games needed for 150 Games
Jetta - 6 Games needed for 100 Games
Trengrove - 16 Games needed for 100 Games
Hogan - 9 games needed for 50 games
Pedersen - 5 Games needed for 50 games in Red and Blue
Garlett - 11 Games needed for 50 games in Red and Blue
Some others can reach 50 if they play all season. Harmes, Salem, vandenBerg, Brayshaw, Stretch

I feel Trengrove and Garland are doubtful to reach their milestones

It feels like Jetta has already played 100 games
Amazing to think Roos rookied him and saved his career

No doubt as well that if he hadn't been rookied by the Eagles or dockers he would have been lost to AFL footy, his style wouldn't translate to getting 30 touches a week in the WAFL and screaming mature age rookie

Yeah i was suprised he still hasn't played 100 games yet. I think his last 2 and 1/2 years have been so good, you almost forget that he was pretty much finished at the end of 2013

Every time I see this/think of this I lol. Gets pretty heavily criticised by people (myself included) at times but hasn't even played 50 yet.

I agree about Trenners and Garland. A real shame about Trenners the way his career has panned out.

Good effort Wattsy!

Been bashed from pillar to post nearly his whole career.
Good effort to come out this end playing good footy and approaching 150!

Yeah, he and Grimesy, real shame

Out of Trenners, Grimes and Scully. All looked promising with leadership capabilities, Some people noted them lifting the side in 2011. In the Essendon game the commentary refers to Trenners and Scully a lot. Shame that the one that left for $ is the one who's career still looks promising. Grimes after round 2 2013 signed a new contract, 3 years later he's gone. Trenners stuck around too, captained with grimes, done his foot and despite the show of faith by the club, might be on the way out soon too.

As much as it sucks to say, out of those two. Loyalty got them nowhere

It's funny I remember the scully megathread and I was so against paying scully anywhere near GWS offer because I didn't think he was good enough. People were panicked about losing a number 1 pick but for mine his kicking was too big a problem
I thought if we had to then I'd have given that money to Trenners
All in all neither were worth the money and it's risky to put so much cap into one player

The beauty of startup franchise money, hey? GWS could afford to blow insane money on him because they had so much of it. If GWS wins a flag in the next 3 years (and I think they will) I won't be calling it a big achievement. It will be an AFL-engineered flag with no romance, just pure marketing spin. Makes me sick to think of Scully with a medal around his neck - can't stand his f***ing head.

Trengove really is one of the saddest parts of the 2000s for Melbourne, he was literally Jimmy Bartel v2 in 2010-2011. Once the injuries got to him though he went from just below average pace to slower than Brock McLean at Carlton. Along with Jurrah I reckon he was the most talented of that group but has just been cruelled by injury so much :(

I feel Harmsey playing every game this year could be A Stretch

You'd think Fitzroy would have a few players in that top five biggest losers. Guys who played a lot in their era of shitness. Or the Bears for that matter... Johnny Gastev anyone?

Not too sure about the - 5000 points list but we have three players in the top 30 of playing in the most losing games.

9th - Tulip - 88 wins - 184 losses
20th - Neita - 140 - 166
26th - Chunk - 58 - 3 - 162

The top four in order are:
Kevin Murray - 208
Doug Hawkins - 200
John Rantall - 199
Paul Roos - 196

Saints and Lions players seem to appear the most.
