Did most people pick Tex as a future captain even 12 months before he was appointed?

Not really, it was all Sloane and Danger, but at the time they were co-captains and many posters hadn't really thought about there being a time post-VB yet. But when it became clear that moving on from VB was on the cards, quite a few people did mention Tex as a smokey and even had Talia in the mix.

Exactly, that's my point. I'm confident there are leaders there that we don't see from our perspective.

I was checking out the new player profiles on the afc website, and took the time to read the Q&A section. Was certainly worth it. Does anyone know the inside joke on why 90% of the players responded to the question "Who is your favourite footy journalist" with the answer "Josh Jenkins" ?? Anyone know what that's about ??

Also worth noting, Dave Makay's profile doesn't work. Anything in that you reckon ?? :eek:o_O

Jenkins writes about NFL for ESPN

Not strictly Crows, certainly non-football, but a wonderful cause. Please support it if you can:

Were they the 6 from Monfries party?
Some wag on the Port board pointed out that Jarman Impey would be doing the valet parking for the event...

JJ's at Melton for harness racing and was interviewed briefly. Had a runner in the 3rd that he gave no hope to, ran 3rd at just under 200:1. Paid about $30 for the place, looked a winning chance a for a fair part of the straight.
They were advertising Jenkins appearance at the Harness Meet all week on SEN1116 .....can't remember what his and another personality's appearance was in aid of?

EDIT .....just remembered it was a Foxtel function

Interesting that we were talking about the basketballers in the States wearing knee & Elbow sleeves, supposedly to keep their joints warm ......and tonight Serina Williams is wearing similar sleeves on her elbows and her tights cover her knees

How long b4 AFL footballers start following suit??

OK, this is the 7th, yes, the seventh, the ****ing SEVENTH, 7th!!! year in a row, we play Carlton only in Melbourne.

AFL and Carlton can GAGF.

I reckon Carlton would be down there with sides we've played at home the least. Always seemed to cop a game with them at Princes Park back in the day too (with no return clash here).

On the flip side could probably count on one hand the years we haven't played North Melbourne at home.

Ironically the lady Blues are here Sunday

and the club had a hilarious tweet about it

and then followed up with this as well (which I love that Ebony Marinoff was concerned that they couldn't find an appropriate Noffy and Flippa one instead of Joey - click on the tweet for further tweets)
