I think Edwards will be around pick 30-40

Has a lot of physical development to make and needs to get inside more this year and show his wares there as lacks speed

Very nice skill set and left foot which are massive ticks

Will need to have a very big year with his size [lack of] to go top 10 though..
Yeah agree Bicks , think he ends up 10-15

Absolute gun though no matter where he goes

Saw him turn a NEAFL game against the swans last year , makes things happen

I'd still have Higgins > Spargo but they are both going to be absolute guns

Exciting draft coming up

If we can't secure a good mid with our 1st rounder, then 2nd priority needs to be a good athletic ruck if any are available. Sauce is only getting slower and we need someone to develop to put pressure on ROB and Hunter.

We definitely need to start thinking ruck , unsure whether 2nd round of draft is the place ... certainly not just because we need one but only if there is a very good one there

Trading is prob safer

This year coming, if we don't spend big on a prime midfielder through trade, we must address a couple of glaring holes.

First pick on the best inside mid available. Preferably over 186cm, but the best available.

Tyson where ever we must (think he'll go early second) and spend a real pick on a good ruck prospect.

Coleman-Jones is one I rate as a ruck/fwd, but with Dear already in the stable, unless we get him at good value we need not worry imo

I would love Grundy !!

Would cost the earth and probs doesn't want to go anywhere

Wish we drafted him but no doubt in midst of Tippo sanctions

Hamish said on Callum Twomey's podcast that he rated him extremely highly in 2012 and that they likely would have had a crack at selecting him if not for the surrendered pick. He described watching him slip down the board and wondering what the hell the other recruiters were thinking letting him slide that far if I remember correctly.

Our 2017 needs are the same as the 2015 and 2016 drafts - genuine top class midfielders.
I think we could have a bit of a need for a bit of everything, depending on how we go this year.

Could need another geniune CHB type if Otten and Kelly leave.
Could need another ruckman if Hunter doesn't pan out

I'm guessing there's a good chance we'll take Jackson Edwards first up, which continues to add to our midfield, but later on we could have a similar draft to this year where we took a few bigger blokes.

Hopefully 2nd or 3rd up with later picks

Should do what cleric said and trade into top 6 of draft . Only way we are going to get the midfield class we need even though it is a bit younger than needed

Unfort Brad Crouch should be dominating by now but injury has derailed his potential

IIRC, they were tossing up b/w Grundy, BenKen and Broomhead. I think I recall Rendell saying they would have taken Broomhead if it weren't for Trigg, I mean the draft sanctions
