I think you needed to link the idea thread so people knew what you were trying to do

okay, I updated the OP to make the rules easier (no subs like Allikat suggested) and fixed the wording so it hopefully easier to read. Hopefully that is not even more confusing now

That's probably better though, I struggled to find players past their peak that will definitely play for under 300k so there wasn't much room for picking high priced spuds. Only thing is if your team is incomplete with only 22 of the 30 selected, you can't pick a captain. Your screenshot in the OP doesn't show who your captain is. We may need people to write in the post who they want as their captain

I think we need to ban post editing, or people could cheat half way through the year. If they want to change their team they could delete their post and make a new one before the season starts

Also we need a way to do the scoring, if the teams aren't being entered for real (which they can't be with only 22 players) then supercoach won't do the scoring for us

I just wrote in the captain at the top of my screenshot. Post editing shows thhe date that it was edited, so if it was edited after the start of round 1 they will be disqualified. I dont think anyone will take it that seriously that they will cheat though.

I will have to do the score myself at the end of the year for each team. It will take a little while

Thanks, Chappy. Could you add the hashtag and who you want to be your captain to your post pls? It will just make it easier to follow who chose who. Only Zorko and Jones are worth enough money to qualify for your captain.

Yes, just averages. Totals would be too hard because of injuries etc. So if a player you choose plays one game and scores 100 points for the entire season, that is the same spudcoach score as a player who plays all 22 games and scores 2200 points because the average is still 100. If it was total score, it would be too complicated and you would need to make changes during the season. Othherwise it would just be the spudcoach team with the least injuries that wins.

Any player you have on your team that fails to play a game for the season for whatever reason will get 200 points. So you probably dont want to select long term injured players. But if they play one game and have an average score, then get injured after that, their average will still count. Using the average score just makes the game much easier to play. Choose one team before the start of the season that you predict will be bad, then we can see who wins at the end of the season without having to worry about swapping players or making it too difficult to play/keep track of/score. This way you will not get penalised for being unlucky and having half your team out with injuries after round 1. You just want to make sure that your players will play at least one game.

It is possible to link an image into your post, then change which image is being displayed on the link without editing the actual post

Maybe when round 1 starts we do a spreadsheet up then, so post edits don't matter

It is possible to link an image into your post, then change which image is being displayed on the link without editing the actual post

I can screenshot all the teams and have them in a folder, then double check to see if anybody cheated. I can try and do the spreadsheet too. I will have all season to do it
