In round 4? In the final minute of the match? On a score of 140? After pumping out 100s in rounds 1-3?

I can deal with that
Here's what will really happen.

Sandi will have another calf niggle during Thurs night training sometime in the first 4 weeks and be listed as 2-3 week on the injury report.

I can't get more specific than that.

He's gone the safe call. Ahhh the ticking time bomb :)

Why so many teams with marchbank in it. JS
It's March and you can bank on his JS. Says it all really.

Bad jokes aside, he's best 22 and a rated defender. Will play the Weitering role acros HB, hopefully with lots of intercept marks.

I've never liked rookies at his price, especially defenders
Depends on the role. Started Weitering last year and he was great cow until the injury.

Agree, but we might not have a choice this season, cheap rookies aren't around

i really rate marchbank & backed him for rising star... has a defender won this medal?

Talia and rivers as key defenders and Heppell and mills as back flankers. Not a bad success rate

Talia 2012.

Weitering was in the conversation last year before injury.

Would appreciate some thoughts on this team I've finalised. Below are some changes that I have made:

Laird IN; Rance OUT
  • I believe Laird has more upside with more midfield minutes. However I am a tad concerned of having Otten, Hampton and Laird in the same Defence.

Barlow IN; Hanley OUT
  • Wanted to have Hanley as a POD but his historical inconsistency has put me off. Had some cash left over and believe Barlow has much less downside based on JLT performances.

O'Meara & Steele IN; McCrae & Brodie OUT
  • JLT form of O'Meara & Steele too good to pass up on despite being mid-pricers. Never liked the McCrae pick and I'm not interested in Rooey. Brodie to O'Meara was a result of the downgrade of McCrae to Steele. Happy with my existing rookies who will probably have a similar average to Brodie yet are 50k cheaper.
    • Would appreciate some feedback on this move.

Butler IN; Houston OUT
  • Based on the recent announcement he will be named.

The odds were too tempting :)
he was a lock POD for my team - now, no more POD though
He's a no brainer for me.

His job security means id be happy with a 75 average from him which is still far better than i expect from hibberd or vickers-willis. with a 75 average he will slowly accumlate 120k or so in value in the leadup to his bye, but i could easily see him averaging as high as 80-85, and making us even more than that.

Steele may average as much as Macrae or he may not, I'd rather pay extra for the guarantee.

Steele won't out score macrae, he may score you the odd 150 score etc. but for week to week macrae wins out. Macca won't score those monster scores but you'll get consistent scores between 90+ and low 100's

Laird IN; Rance OUT

I like it. Richmonds midfield should improve from last year, with the addition of Prestia and Caddy, so i dont think There will be as many inside 50's coming at Rance. He's a gun, but a 98-100 average is his ceiling IMO. whereas I can see laird, going up as high as 110 as the main rebounder defender + midfield minutes for adelaide.

I wouldnt worry about having 3 crows defenders becuase Hampton and Otten wont be keepers for the whole year, and will most likely be traded out of your team before adelaides bye.

Barlow IN; Hanley OUT
  • Wanted to have Hanley as a POD but his historical inconsistency has put me off. Had some cash left over and believe Barlow has much less downside based on JLT performances.
Wouldnt consider either honestly.

In reference to Barlow Eade has flagged that he might be played as a tagger or up forward which means his days of supercoach relevance are over IMO . Plus i think there are players with far more upside and job security for just 50-70K more.

O'Meara & Steele IN; McCrae & Brodie OUT
  • JLT form of O'Meara & Steele too good to pass up on despite being mid-pricers. Never liked the McCrae pick and I'm not interested in Rooey. well i have both O'meara and steele so im a fan. For me its a case of risk vs reward. at worst they will be mediocre and average 80 odd which will waste you a couple of trades getting rid of them, but wont put you too far behind in terms of points, considering what you paid for them

But if they fire and manage to average 90-95 which is realistic, then you will be behind the 8-ball in regards to the rest of the comp if you go into the season without them, just because so many people are picking these 2. Everything about Jack Steele screams supercoach stud IMO.

Macrae is a good safe pick, but im not sure about Will Brodies Job security.

Butler IN; Houston OUT

cant argue with that.

As it gets closer to the start I always remove a lot of the risks I had before and this year is no different. I'm going safe everywhere except Higgins, Beams, and the rucks. I can't see the value in Gawn with the worry that Spencer is a chance to come in. Gawn was also injury prone as **** until last season, and still spudded it up at times and scored in the 40s. I'll grab him when he drops in price if he is going well, but there's too many negatives around Gawn to start with. I'd rather have an extra mid who I can trust to average 110+ and play 20+ games. Also the nankdaddy is a jet who will average 90+ and destroy Super Spud Kreuzer on Thursday. Screen Shot 2017-03-20 at 4.45.42 am.jpg

I'm still hanging onto the 94 he got in 65% game time in JLT

He's still got it

Who'd he score the 94 against?

Fitzpatrick, Pittonet and Vickery.

Preuss scored 94 against those hacks in 73% gametime

I agree with stevebbb, Goldstein is on his way down.
