It is pretty simple really. Varcoe, Elliott, Wells, JDG, Crocker, Sier, Greenwood, and Wills are all unavailable through suspension, injury or lack of preseason. That is not a list management failure.

Those who defend Blair's retention do it begrudgingly cause there is no real alternative.

I find it very interesting Richmond found the need to make 3 changes in a winning side. The old saying goes dont mess with a winning formula..

Anyway, i like our changes, well i would prefer Varcoe in but obviously that can't happen. I am worried if Broomhead is going to be ready? He didnt play any JLT by memory and hasnt had a VFL practicr match has he? I like him as a player think he has a lot of talent but is it the right time to pull the trigger?

Crisp and Adams need to be much better with their disposal efficiency if Moore is going to get 3 and if we're going to win. Adams is on fire but he needs to make a step up into the 80% efficiency to be elite.

Totally understand why Blair was retained even though it was tempting to drop him. Clangers aside (major clangers admittedly) his game was pretty good.

It was more important to drop Cox and replace him with a midfielder. The two ins can both play forward (as can WHE who only played forward for part ofthe game)so at least if Blair has a stinker we can bench him...unlike last week when we had to hide Cox on the bench.

Serious question. When was the last time Blair influenced a successful result? From last year I recall his brilliant goal from the ponsfors pocket at the city end against the blues but we lost. Before that I only recall the toe poke against the bombers a few Anzac days ago. When did Blair last make a difference? I can't remember

I remember in pebbles' last game against Geelong in 08 we won by 86 points... in 07 they just nipped us in the prelim the year before and by 16 points in the season. in 06 we got em by 102 so not a bad effort against one of the best teams of all time...

He's never been a match winner, very few players are.

We didn't have to hide Cox on the bench when he was consistently giving us first use of the ball from the center bounces.

Grundy is our first ruck and the Bulldogs were playing their third choice ruckman. Cox is there to be a forward. Hitouts quite rightly didn't save him. We are better off with white and Moore sharing second ruck duties and selecting an extra runner. For this week anyway.
