Wilson from GWS unlucky. Would have him in ahead of Martin or Brad Hill

I reckon that would be a winner if Vics were split into country and Metro

As for Queensland here is what I came up with

B: Lee Spurr, Lachlan Keeffe, Rory Thompson
HB: Sam Gilbert , Aliir Aliir, Brendan Whitecross
C: Jarrod Harbrow, Dane Beams, Josh Thomas
HF: Dayne Zorko, Charlie Dixon, Charlie Cameron
F: Eric Hipwood, Nick Riewoldt, Kurt Tippett
FOLL: Braydon Preuss, David Armitage, Tom Bell
I/C: Clay Beams, Jesse White, Ben Keays, Sam Reid

A team that is bloody top heavy but still filled with some very good names. Jack Bowes should be able to break into it in the next year or two which would help.
Andrews in for Keefe surely

If your excluding NN cuz he is injured then why are you including cogs?

Brett Eddy is Victorian. As is Jack Viney, who didn't move to SA until he was 14. He's a vic metro boy.

Vic Metro:

FB: Michael Hurley - Daniel Talia - Nick Smith
HB: Heath Shaw - Jackson Trengove - Jack Newnes
MF: Dustin Martin - Rory Sloane - Andrew Gaff
HF: Toby Greene - Jeremy Cameron - Robbie Gray
FF: Joe Daniher - Tom Lynch - Christian Petracca
OB: Todd Goldstein - Josh P Kennedy - Daniel Hannebery
IC: Tom Rockliff - Luke Parker - Dylan Shiel - Marc Murphy
Bontempelli? Shuey? Gunston? Josh J Kennedy?

Queensland
B: Lee Spurr, Rory Thompson, Allir Allir

HB: Sam Gilbert, Harris Andrews, Jarrod Harbrow

C: Dayne Zorko, Dayne Beams, Josh Smith

HF: Sam J. Reid, Nick Riewoldt, Brendon Whitecross

F: Eric Hipwood, Charlie Dixon, Charlie Cameron

FOLL: Braydon Preuss, David Armitage, Ben Keays

I/C: Claye Beams, Jack Bowes, Tom Bell, Alex Sexton

Maybe Tippett in for Dixon.

Victoria Country

B: Scott Selwood, Eric Hipwood, Brett Deledio
HB: Brad Crouch, Jacob Weitering, Shaun Atley
C: Dyson Heppell, Dustin Martin, Zachary Merrett
HF: Lachie Whitfield, Jarryd Roughead, Adam Treloar
F: Steele Sidebottom, Steve Johnson, Patrick Dangerfield
R: Ben McEvoy, Scott Pendlebury, Joel Selwood
Int: Jack Ziebull, Jordan Lewis, Brendon Goddard, Ollie Wines

Hipwood is from Queensland, and not a defender.

Shaun Atley over Bob Murphy really?

So many things wrong with this side:

1. Hipwood is a forward from Queensland. Adam Treloar is from Aspendale, located about a 30 minute train ride from Melbourne.
2. Ben Reid, Lachie Henderson, Robbie Tarrant, James Frawley, Tom McDonald are all ahead of Weitering as a key defender.
3. Jeremy Cameron is a lock for Full Forward
4. Shane Mumford shits on Ben McEvoy as a ruckman from a great height
5. Sam Docherty, Bob Murphy, Easton Wood, Tom Ruggles, Jackson Nelson, Jasper Pittard, Jake Lloyd are all superior small defenders to the ones you've listed. Now let's put together a real team.

FB: Easton Wood - Robbie Tarrant - Lachie Henderson
HB: Sam Docherty - Ben Reid - Bob Murphy
MF: Brendan Goddard - Joel Selwood - Zachary Merrett
HF: Steele Sidebottom - Jarryd Roughead - Luke Dahlhaus
FF: Dustin Martin - Jeremy Cameron - Sam Reid
OB: Shane Mumford - Scott Pendlebury - Patrick Dangerfield
IC: Dyson Heppell - Tom Rockliff - Gary Ablett - Ollie Wines

SA

B: Andrew Mackie - Heath Grundy - Jack Hombsch

HB: Brodie Smith - Phil Davis - Rory Laird

C: Brad Ebert - Bryce Gibbs - Chad Wingard

HF: Daniel Menzel - Justin Westhoff - Orazio Fantasia

F: Eddie Betts - Brett Eddy - Paul Puopolo

R: Brodie Grundy - Lachie Neale - Jack Viney

Int: Sam Jacobs - Luke Dunstan - Luke Brown - Bernie Vince

Strengths

- Best selection of small forwards of any state in Betts, Menzel, Fantasia, Puopolo and Wingard.
- Defence is decent. Davis, Laird and Mackie are arguably in AA form right now while Smith is thereabouts. Grundy and Hombsch are solid talls.
- 2 of the top 5 ruck-men in the AFL with Jacobs and Grundy.
- Enough top end midfielders to be competitive with Gibbs, Neale, Viney, Vince and Ebert who is in good form at the moment.

Weaknesses

- Key forwards. Westhoff leads the attack at CHF with 1 goal for the year and (yes I'm being serious) Brett Eddy is probably the best key forward SA has right now, and he was just omitted.
- Depth, everywhere.

Realistically we would be destroyed by Vic and WA and probably even NSW. SA has had top draft picks in recent years but many of these fade into forgotten players, Toumpas, Dunstan, Aish, Scharenberg, Mayes, Menzel (Troy), Durdin (maybe a bit harsh). Hopefully some of these guys can develop into elite players in the later stages of their careers along with the upcoming contingent of Francis, Milera, Burton, Hayward etc.
Brett Eddy> serious? is that how bad we are going?

Thankful there's no state of origin anymore.. SA haven't got the talent we once had in the 80s & 90s. we have gone backwards.

Edithvale-Aspendale play in the MPNFL, which is in the VCFL. Hipwood was listed as Vic Country. Stevie J is still a class act and would make the forward 6 in a heartbeat.

Aspendale is Suburbia. Which league it's played in is irrelevant.

If he played in TAC football; he would have played for Sandy. A Vic Metro club.

It was how it was maesured..the Vic Metro border still ends at Mordialloc (strangely enough given Chelsea in the Southern league)..as it is Treloar was with Dandenong Stingrays, which count as Victoria Country in TAC Ranks and AFL Victoria ranks.

And he started at Noble Park anyway.

Wait, really? So players like Baguley (a Frankston boy) would be a VC boy? I just assumed that any team inwards of Pakenham/Cranbourne/Frankston would be considered Metro as they're officially part of Melbourne Suburbia.

Half the TAC cup teams are considered 'metro' and the other half 'country' when the U18 championships come up.

Clearly, the outer suburbs (and some not so outer) are deemed 'country' in order to create a more even split.
