I'd bring Tabs in for the Bombers game. Think he's a bit unfairly maligned on here tbh. A rookie selection who had the honour of being the sidekick to Matty Pavlich for a few years. Name me another rookie selected Key forward who's shown more than Tabs for us?
Missed this game cause I was working. Really looking forward to the replay. Good to see my old buddy do well.

The MT effect is back!!
I am hoping that this is really, finally Tabs' breakout game. His marking has certainly improved, and he gave a decent chop as back up ruck. I'm glad they made him earn his spot via the wafl, but he needs to stay now.

2 things relating to his history.
1. Before when he goaled, The team mates didn't rally around him, hug him, Pat his bum, high 5 etc.
2. Clear on a lead, but the team mates would kick to the guy with 2-3 players hanging off him (Pav).
There have been some fair critiques - his history was with poor marking and some errors of youth in decision making etc,
But he hasn't been given an even chance by Freo up til now (point 1&2), I'm stoked that he's persisted and basically got bog today - not sure if "official" one, but close to it if he isn't it.
Stoked with his work - and then add his work as a second ruck on top of that. I thought he held his own there.

If he can continue to grab the ball like he did tonight, he will develop into a very good player for us. He's an absolute beast now as well, arms and upper body are massive!

Aye - Tabs is no longer in Pav's shadow, that's for sure. I imagine it would have been damn hard to develop as well as you'd like with someone like Pav in the team. Same reason Mundy probably struggled last season as captain
On that note - can't see there being any issues between Mundy and Fyfe. Seemed to have a good chat after the game at the race while the rest of the stragglers arrived
