Blair is basically the reason Medders retired early.

Medhurst's form from late 2009 onwards was generally poor. By contrast Blair played well on a consistent basis when he came into the side in mid 2010. It was after Medhurst was dropped in 2010 that we really hit our straps and found premiership form.

Hmmm...

Not necessarily. Malthouse rarely admits an error but he did say he kept Medhurst in the 2s for too long. By the time he did get an opportunity he had been out of the game for too long.

You can't compare Blair and Medhurst as players, well not in this universe anyway. Medhurst at his near-best would have made our 2010 side even better.

I know which of the 2 I would have preferred running around for us in 2011.

I reckon we would have won the first grandfinal if Medhurst and Lockyer played over Maccaffer and Blair.
